TEXTURE-WRAPPED FURNITURE Texture has a unique way of adding subtle interest and depth to a space. We know this is true with fabrics, upholstery, pillows, and most recently, with the huge resurgence of textured wall coverings. Now, some of our top manufacturers have taken that idea and added it to their case good offerings. Beautiful grasscloth and sisal textures applied to these items take them from drab to fab, in short order. Some we have featured come only as shown, and others are completely customizable— you can select from a wide range of textures, patterns, and colors to build your unique item. Contact your Sourcing Pro for more details.

PERFORMANCE FABRICS

For years, the best way to safeguard your upholstery from accidents was to apply a topical treatment like Scotchguard. This process helped, but wasn’t foolproof and items needed to be retreated over time.

Fortunately for us, textile

manufacturers have come up with a better way! Performance fabrics are everywhere now and we consider them one of the keys to creating a family-friendly home. They feature stain resistance, higher rub counts, and a general increase in wearability— all built right into them. Fabrics rated as performance get this distinction due to the actual materials used to make them. The fibers woven to make the fabric don’t absorb liquids, which prevents staining. It’s permanent and well worth the investment. Even more exciting, the newest releases in Performance fabrics are softer than ever and feature amazing designs!

Asian-inspired designs show their versatility and compatibility in every room of the house. For generations, a touch of chinoiserie has been known to add an undeniable elegance to any space. Most recently, we are seeing this trend make it’s way into the bathroom. Whether it’s simply adding a pair of bamboo sconces, or more of a top-to-bottom chinoiserie makeover, the results are stunning. At our studio, it is easily the most requested look for the bath.

INSPIRED BY NATURE Nature has always been the muse of talented creatives. We look for the outdoors to inspire our indoors. From color, to texture, to the raw materials used, bringing these outdoor elements inside creates a sense of calm that can’t be achieved any other way. Some of our favorite manufacturers have added their own unique spin with updated forms and unexpected finishes, all inspired by nature.

READY TO SHIP UPHOLSTERY

All of the quality, style, and comfort of custom upholstery, with none of the waiting! It’s no wonder we get so many requests for in-stock, ready-to-ship upholstery! While there are some limitations to these items - most notably, they only come in the fabrics shown - they offer a great option for a client in a hurry who planned on buying a neutral item anyway. The best part is that many of these feature all the high-end components of custom upholstery, like down-wrapped cushions and eight-way hand tied construction.
