Mountain Fair breakdown What goes up, must come down, and so it did on Monday, thanks to the breakdown crew. Sopris Park didn’t look like the aftermath of Woodstock but there was plenty of trash to bag up and take to recycling/compost bins. Alpine Bank’s Joe Scofield (not shown here) was taking down the bank’s shade tent early on Monday morning, while Mountain Fair Dream Team members Mark Taylor and Jeff Britt discussed their plan. Parking Czar Patty Nadon and The Honorable Barb Bush pulled up after putting in dozens of hours during the weekend. “What’s the scoop?” someone asked. “Not much,” Bush replied. It was pretty quiet.” Nadon, her hair still wet from a shower, slowly headed into the park. “You look tired,” someone else said. “I am,” she replied. Lower left: Flowers return to their stores. Volunteers make Mountain Fair go ‘round. When you see one, it’s not too late to say “Thanks.” Photos by Jane Bachrach
