Rembering Brandon Moore “Shout,” by Jack Kreutzer and Doug Erion, will be dedicated in memory of Brandon Moore during the Art aRound Town sculpture walk, starting at 5:30 p.m. on June 2. “Art is not what you see, but what you make others see,” was one of his favorite quotes. Moore was a young member of the Carbondale Public Arts Commission (CPAC) and passed away in 2015. His family and CPAC purchased the sculpture, which is located on Main Street at the west end of the Dinkel Building. The 2016 Art aRound Town exhibition features works from 14 sculptors from around the U.S., including Carbondale’s John Hoffmann. Art aRound Town is made possible by Colorado Stone Quarries, Girardi’s Heavy Haul, Christensen Welding, Marble Distilling Company, Iron Rose Ranch and Margaret Mathers Design (for the new CPAC logo), plus the Carbondale Board of Trustees, the Carbondale Public Works Department, and CPAC.
