Tight moves in a tied game

During a hard-fought game in Carbondale on March 31, Roaring Fork High School soccer player Ruby Lang (#14) moves to intercept as Basalt High School’s Callahan Card gets in a head shot, with Roaring Fork’s Valerie Loertscher (#1) standing by to block an unidentified Basalt player. The game was a close contest that ended in a 0-0 tie in overtime. Roaring Fork and Basalt each have a hefty schedule of games coming up in the next week: April 9 – Vail Christian @ RFHS, 4 p.m.; Moffat County @ BHS, 4 p.m.; April 11 – RFHS @ Eagle Valley, 1 p.m.; April 14 – Grand Valley @ BHS, 4 p.m.; April 16 – Rifle @ RFHS, 4 p.m.; CRMS @ BHS, 4 p.m. Photo by Sue Rollyson
