April showers bring May flowers
You won't hear many complaints about the damp days this spring after last summer's fire season. Dandelions — the town flower and original Mayflower — are springing up a little ahead of the official festival. While they're important to early pollinators, the newly-formed Garden Squad was pretty sure the bees could spare a few as they weeded the
public beds on the corner of Seventh and Main on April 30. The newly-formed group is the culmination of a long-term effort to help the Town keep its many public planters pretty and has family friendly get-togethers at 9 a.m. first Saturdays and "weed and wine" at 4 p.m. last Tuesdays with refreshments after at a local business.
