This is an outstanding group of seniors, and their dedication and hard work have made a lasting impact on Roaring Fork High School. Colleges, scholarship committees, and professional industries alike have recognized the immense talent within this cohort. The Class of 2026 has not only secured admission to prestigious institutions but also has pioneered new pathways in climate advocacy, technical trades, leadership.
Our students continue to compete at the highest levels for the nation’s most competitive scholarships. Anna Sophia Brown was awarded the prestigious Boettcher Scholarship, recognizing her as one of the top scholars in the state of Colorado. Colton Lang received the Daniels Scholarship, a testament to his character and leadership. Additionally, our Valedictorian, Caroline Cole, was named a Boettcher Scholarship finalist and became the first graduate in RFHS history to earn the Colorado Seal of Climate Literacy.
Professional Certifications & Technical Mastery
The Class of 2026 has shown great initiative in preparing for the workforce and emergency services.
Emergency Services: Emmaline Warner earned her Firefighter 1 certification, and both she and Hannah Bays completed their EMT certifications.
Healthcare: Emmanuel Cortés López successfully earned his Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
The Trades: Alejandro Martinez-Reyes and Alejandro Vázquez Chagoya completed their Pre-Apprenticeships with Bishop Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, and have both been offered full-time employment
Culinary Arts: Dilia Evony Mejia Montoya, a standout in the Youthentity Culinary ProStart Program, is a two-time Colorado State Champion. She recently led her team to a 5th-place podium finish at the ProStart Nationals in Baltimore, MD.
In a commendable achievement, Amalia Sparhawk received an appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point, having earned two congressional nominations and meeting the academy’s most rigorous standards for scholarship and leadership.
