By pairing teams with individual classrooms, our adult mentors expose the students to a breadth of life and career experiences to increase their knowledge of career opportunities and expand their horizons with clearer self-vision. What We Do: Our program connects students, PreK – 8th grade, with caring adult mentors who expose them to a variety of experiences and career opportunities with a focus on college & career pathways, essential employability skills, literacy, and STE(A)M. Our approach to group mentoring is unique. Our program matches corporate and community mentors to a specific classroom for an entire school year. During this time, mentors engage with their students one hour, once per month in four ways: monthly mentoring sessions, educational activities, field trips, and pen palling while also sharing with the students what makes their individual companies unique in what they do.

Why We’re Important: Our program serves both elementary and junior high schools with the highest concentrations of poverty where currently 92% of students are Federal Title 1 (Free & Reduced Lunch status). Many students throughout Greater Cincinnati find themselves lacking role models and/or a support system. Our mentors can be that positive influence, instilling important values and life skills while introducing critically important career concepts. Our partner organizations have made it possible for us to work with students in nearly 200 classrooms in 33 schools across Cincinnati Public Schools, Catholic Inner City Schools Education, Covington Schools, Newport Schools, Boone County Schools, and Norwood Schools.

THE APARTMENT ASSOCIATION OUTREACH, INC.

Who We Are: The Apartment Association Outreach is a 501(c) 3, non-profit charitable organization. OUTREACH was originally founded in 1991 to provide clothing and household items to families in need. Since 2000, our social service partners and our organization provide assistance to disadvantaged families and individuals within our community. Our partners include: Freestore Foodbank, CAIN (Churches Active in Northside), Jewish Family Services and Santa Maria Community Services.

$6,000, educational scholarships of $2,500, and backpack and school supplies in the amount of $13,500, to help deserving children. We welcomed a new partner in Gateway Community & Technical College by assisting them with the opening of a new food pantry on their Edgewood Campus. Outreach has provided $140,000 in Rental Assistance and $100,000 to our twenty Food Pantry Partners. We have made an incredible impact on those in crisis in our community!

What We Do: Each year, we organize three fundraising events to support our six programs. In the spring, we host a 5k 4 Rent event with a timed run, and walk through Friendship Park. In the fall, we host A Night Out for Outreach with many industry leaders and the community in attendance. This is a fun night with music, great food, and a short program, highlighting our partners and what we have accomplished together. In December, we enjoy the Holiday Cheers fundraiser.

This event includes a rapid raffle, silent auction, and live auction.

ASSISTANCE LEAGUE OF GREATER CINCINNATI

League member volunteers strive to meet these unmet needs through our mission and vision statements: Assistance League volunteers transforming lives of children and adults through community programs.

Essential needs are met in our community and families’ flourish.

Who We Are: Since 1998, Assistance League has served more than 79,000 women in crisis and children in need. As a non-profit all volunteer organization, we create, direct and fund our programs from grants, directed campaigns and appeals and generous donations from the community. All funds are raised and spent locally. Awards and Certifications include the BBB Torch Award and the GuideStar Gold Seal. At the end of fiscal year 2021, 92% of all expenses were directed to program services.

What We Do: During FY ending May 31, 2021, a total of 15,963 people were served by our programs. Operation School Bell® supplied new school clothes and hygiene supplies to 13,468 children in 44 public and parochial schools. 120 disadvantaged adults were helped enter college with necessary school supplies. 1,049 relatives or close friends who foster children received emergency items for children in their care. 1,000 women who experienced domestic violence and entered a shelter and women brought to an ER having suffered sexual abuse received new clothing and hygiene kits. 326 women and their children received multiple household items as they left shelters for a life away from their abusers.

Why We are Important: All of our programs serve the most vulnerable in the community and are those greatly affected by the pandemic. The number of children served by Foster Care support increased by 36%.

We were made aware of the need for services beyond clothing. We adopted the Red Star Plan to include Literacy, Supplies, Hunger and Health. Participation in the CPS Feed the Children Campaign at the beginning of the Pandemic provided volunteers a plan for distributing hygiene supplies available to 10,000 students in the 4th, 5th and 6th grades in 42 of the neediest schools in the area.

How We Serve the Community: The poverty rate in Cincinnati is about 28.7% with almost 29,000 children living in poverty. During the pandemic, many existing programs and agencies are stretched to the limit to cover all needs. Programs developed by Assistance League effectively provide services to children and adults affected by poverty, abuse, homelessness, violence and other family crises. Assistance

Who We Are: A non-profit ministry of the Sisters of Charity, Bayley is a continuum of care Retirement Facility and Community Wellness Center on the west side of Cincinnati. For over thirty years, dedicated staff and volunteers have provided compassion and quality of life to those we serve in a Catholic/Christian-like environment. We strive to help others live “Life In Every Moment” at any stage, regardless of their abilities. Our goal is to promote optimum health and wellbeing for seniors of all faiths who live on our campus and in the greater community through the programs and services we offer.

How We Serve the Community: In 2021, we had over 2000 Fitness Center members from the local community. The club has become the place where friends meet, socialize, work out and attend outreach programs that encourage safe and healthy lifestyles. In an average year, we hold 47 to 50 fitness classes each week, including classes in balance, yoga, boxing, Pilates, tai chi, water aerobics, belly dancing, cycling, and more. In 2021, Bayley Home Services kept 60 seniors living on campus or in the community safe and independent - on their own, but not alone!™. Over 50 members and their families were assisted by the Bayley Adult Day Program. We also assisted many seniors with their rehabilitation needs, both inpatient and outpatient.

What We Do: Bayley offers 78 Independent Living cottages, a Fitness Center, an Adult Day Program, Outpatient and Inpatient Rehabilitative Therapy and Assisted Living, Home Services, Memory Support, Skilled Nursing Care, and Pastoral Care. Physical, social, spiritual and emotional needs are addressed by our professional, caring staff. We adhere to the strictest standards of safety and hygiene, with ample PPE and increased staff training during COVID-19.

Vaccination is required for employees and our residents and staff are tested regularly based on state and county mandates. Our staff has created safe and diverse activities to satisfy the varied interests of those in our care. Once COVID regulations were lifted, family members were once again encouraged to join in the daily activities, attend Mass or experience the beautiful gardens and accessible walking paths around campus with their loved ones. Our residents’ relatives quickly become an extension of our Bayley family, often renewing old friendships and creating new memories. In 2021, over 400 seniors called Bayley home. In spring of 2022, we will break ground on our new 80-unit Independent Living apartment homes, Bayley at Green Township.

How You Can Help: Bayley’s vision is to continue providing exceptional, compassionate care to seniors for generations to come, but we need additional support to make this happen. We currently have no waiting list for our lovely Assisted Living apartments, and we hope that you will encourage friends and relatives to tour, to see if they would like to call Bayley home! Why We’re Important: Residents, Adult Day and Fitness Club members participate in a variety of services, classes and programs coordinated by our professional staff. We have put extra cleaning and sanitizing procedures into place, as well as social distancing and mask requirements for staff. Upholding our reputation as the preferred senior wellness hub in the community and contributing to our five-star rating awarded by the Center for Medicare/ Medicaid Services, we help seniors where they are today. Who We Are: Beech Acres Parenting Center™ has been serving parents, families and children in the Greater Cincinnati area for more than 170 years. Originally founded as an orphanage to address the cholera epidemic that gripped the nation, Beech Acres has consistently evolved to meet the ever-changing needs of parents in the community. How We Serve the Community: Serving more than 31,000 parents, teachers and children every year, our services are available in 18 local pediatric offices and 45 public and private schools in the Greater Cincinnati Area. Best Point is the only agency in the area that provides an integrated counseling program for adolescents with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Last year, we provided individualized services to more nearly 15,000 individuals in a variety of life-changing ways.

Who We Are: Best Point provides education and therapeutic treatment for children and their families facing social, behavioral and learning challenges on our campuses and in the community. We also provide autism services, consultation services for parents, and conduct training for caregivers and professionals.

BETHANY HOUSE SERVICES, INC.

Who We Are: Bethany House Services has served Cincinnati’s poorest families since 1983. Our mission is to empower homeless and at-risk families with the solutions to achieve housing stability and long-term self-sufficiency. We envision living in a community where all families have a place to call home, and no one spends a night without shelter.

With strong community support, we have successfully completed a capital campaign for construction of a facility in Bond Hill to provide comprehensive prevention, shelter, and housing stabilization services more efficiently for families facing homelessness.

Transition to the new facility is planned for the third quarter of 2022.

How We Serve the Community: Of the 201 families who exited from shelter during 2021, 96% entered into a positive housing situation and 37% exited with increased income. More than 80% of families who exit from shelter each year do not return to homelessness within two years of leaving.

The new Bethany House facility will provide on-site medical and mental health care providers, including staff from Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center and Cincinnati Health Network. We anticipate that job readiness, employment services, and other vital supports for family stability will also be available.

What We Do: Bethany provides comprehensive services to struggling families. Programs provide safety, food, clothing, and all physical necessities. During the COVID pandemic, families are sheltered in apartments or hotels with the cleaning supplies and protective measures needed to keep them safe. All services are provided by empathetic staff educated in trauma-informed care to meet emotional and mental health needs. Life skills education is provided so that families remain stably housed after the family leaves shelter. Children are enrolled in school or childcare; children with special needs are connected with community service providers. Housing programs help families overcome barriers to obtaining housing.

How You Can Help: Volunteers have always played a vital role in the success of families served in Bethany House shelters and will be even more important in the new facility. Community support for the children’s programs is crucial – tutoring for teens struggling with classes, stimulation for infants and toddlers, reading to preschoolers – volunteers can change the path a child chooses to follow.

Financial donations often cover immediate expenses and can prevent repeated episodes of homelessness. A car repair can enable the parent to drive to work; household items enable families with no possessions to transform an empty apartment into a home.

Why We’re Important: Bethany House is the largest family shelter in Hamilton County, serving more than half of the homeless families who receive shelter services. Case managers prepare the family to achieve and maintain housing stability. We provide on-site mental health counseling for parents and children. We teach the basic skills families need to contribute to the community and establish connections to the services they will need after leaving shelter. We provide emergency assistance, so they do not become homeless again.

We give the children a chance to be kids and to be the last in their families to ever experience homelessness.

Our programs are as diverse as our community including, but not limited to, children’s afterschool programs, a fitness center for young athletes, a residential recovery home for women exiting the sex trade, jail ministry, a food pantry, community meals, and a coffee shop that serves as a community gathering space as well as a job training platform for our neighbors. Because all of our programs are within Price Hill, they are interconnected, allowing our neighbors to utilize multiple programs or services across different stages of their lives. Programs seamlessly integrate allowing us to be available in a myriad of ways.

Who We Are: Dr. Dwight and Stephanie Young began BLOC Ministries in 1998 after working as youth pastors for more than a decade in Cincinnati, Ohio, and in Knoxville, Tennessee. As community pastors, they’d seen youth and adults whose lives and neighborhoods were breaking or shattered. The Youngs realized that many students slipped between the cracks: not involved in school, church, social clubs, or any productive pursuits. Yet these were the ones who were usually at the highest risk for dropping out, drugs, teen pregnancy, crime, sex trafficking, and other risks of urban streets.

BLOC was created to build connections and safe spaces for students, families, and adults to thrive and succeed in spite of difficult circumstances. We’re a faith-based non-profit that focuses on healthy, personal relationships and activities that help to build hope, purpose, and vital life skills.

How You Can Help: In 2021 BLOC Ministries broke ground on a firstof-its-kind program called Horses on the Hill (HOTH.) Construction has officially begun and we expect phase one to be complete this fall!

Phase one will include a six-stall barn and indoor riding arena on seven acres, right in the heart of Price Hill. We estimate HOTH will serve about 300 at-risk urban children, teens and adults as well as those with developmental disabilities through equine-assisted therapy every month. Who We Are: The mission of Boys Hope Girls Hope is to nurture and guide motivated young people in need to become welleducated, career-ready men and women for others. BHGH serves underprivileged youth in Cincinnati by providing residential, therapeutic, and educational assistance. BHGH’s scholars in grades 7-12, are academically capable and motivated, without access to quality education, living at or below the poverty level, and come from socio-economically disadvantaged environments. Scholars live in one of the three BHGH homes (Gardner, Heidt, and HC Schott) Sunday – Friday evening, where our program offers our scholars holistic and academic support from staff, mentors, tutors, and counselors.

Who We Are: The Brandon C. Gromada Head & Neck Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit organization that funds innovative head and neck cancer (HNC) research and raises public awareness about this sixth most common form of cancer. The foundation was named for Brandon C. Gromada and launched by his parents on June 3, 2012, the day after his death from HNC. We are committed to supporting ground-breaking research that leads to the development of more effective, less-debilitating treatments and to the discovery of cures for HNC. Why We’re Important: Brandon’s foundation enables promising, peer-reviewed research projects to get off the ground. Although HNC is the sixth most common cancer worldwide, it is grossly underfunded when it comes to allocation of research dollars. Current treatments often have both immediate and long-term debilitating side effects. Related surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation frequently result in facial disfigurement, loss of oral function with difficulty eating and swallowing requiring an indwelling feeding tube, loss of many or most teeth, speech difficulties, and so on. CANCER FAMILY CARE

Who We Are: Cancer Family Care is a nonprofit organization that helps children and adults cope with the effects of a cancer diagnosis in the family. We are known throughout the Greater Cincinnati region as a force of compassion and strength in the face of cancerrelated illness and loss.

Our Treehouse Children’s Program is school-based and offers both individual and group therapy for children and teens ages 5-18.

What We Do: Cancer Family Care provides individual, couple and family counseling to anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis or loss from the disease. Our therapists are all Master’s Level trained social workers and counselors. We also offer free wigs, oncology massage and Healing Touch to cancer patients and at a reduced rate to caregivers. Our Treehouse Children’s Program includes individual and group therapy in addition to Camp Courage, our day camp for children dealing with cancer or a cancer loss in the family.

How You Can Help: Our Treehouse Children’s Program is offered at no charge. Our adult counseling program does bill insurance if appropriate and co-pays are on a sliding fee basis if clients are able to pay. No one is ever turned away due to a lack of insurance coverage or ability to pay co-payments. The number one stressor for those dealing with cancer is finances. Because of our generous donors, we are able to help families deal with the added stress without incurring more financial hardships caused by counseling fees.

Why We’re Important: Over the next decade, the number of new cancer cases is expected to go up, mostly because of an aging population. Because cancer patients overall are living longer, the number of cancer survivors is expected to go up from about 11.7 million in 2007 to 18 million by 2020. People who have cancer may find the physical, emotional, and social effects of the disease to be stressful. People who are able to use effective coping strategies to deal with stress, such as relaxation and stress management techniques, have been shown to have lower levels of depression, anxiety, and symptoms related to the cancer and its treatment.

Who We Are: The Cincinnati Art Museum features a diverse, encyclopedic art collection of more than 67,000 works spanning 6,000 years. In addition to displaying its own broad collection, the museum hosts several national and international traveling exhibitions each year. CINCINNATI ASSOCIATION FOR THE BLIND & VISUALLY IMPAIRED (CABVI) How We Serve the Community: CABVI serves people of all ages who are blind or visually impaired in Greater Cincinnati. Our service area includes eight counties in Ohio (Adams, Brown, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton, Highland, and Warren) and three counties in Kentucky (Boone, Campbell, and Kenton). We also serve adjoining counties as needed.

Who We Are: Founded in 1911, CABVI provides comprehensive services for people of all ages who are blind or visually impaired.

The agency helps more than 4,000 people annually adapt to vision loss in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region. CABVI receives client referrals for services from local eye doctors, hospitals, schools, and other social service agencies. THE CINCINNATI INTERNATIONAL WINE FESTIVAL are all for a great cause. The wine festival distributes hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants to local charities each year, including Cincinnati Public Radio, the Freestore Foodbank, Cancer Family Care, and many more. The support of the Greater Cincinnati community enables the festival to continue giving back locally, one glass at a time.

Who We Are: The Cincinnati International Wine Festival is a charitable, non-profit organization founded in 1991 to raise funds for local charities focused on the arts, education, health and human services, while elevating and promoting the wine industry.

Typically held each March, the 31st festival will be held in May this year, following a series of event postponements and cancellations in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. Who We Are: The Cure Starts Now started with just one child.

Today, The Cure Starts Now, with headquarters here in Cincinnati, is comprised of over 600 families and chapters dedicated to finding the Homerun Cure™ for all cancers, starting first with one of the deadliest cancers: pediatric brain cancer. Experts believe that the lessons we learn from fighting pediatric cancer may provide us with the critical first step in winning the battle against all cancers, both pediatric and adult.

How We Serve the Community: The Cure Starts Now supports research and trials that provide treatment to over 3,000 children battling cancer worldwide every year. We are the largest pediatric cancer research foundation resulting in the establishment of The Cure Starts Now Foundation Brain Tumor Center, as part of a multimillion-dollar donation to fund pediatric brain cancer research at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. We have funded over 100 cutting edge research grants at over 100 hospitals in 15 countries since 2007.

The Cure Starts Now represents a revolutionary new strategy in cancer research: one that fights cancer not according to numbers but, instead, based on knowledge and research.

What We Do: The Cure Starts Now actively seeks to create new research collaborations and protocols for pediatric brain cancer that were previously thought to be too ambitious or impossible. Additionally, we have a yearly grant funding cycle in which our Medical Advisory Council reviews submitted grants to determine their relevance to our research strategy and makes recommendations based on funding abilities determined by our board. And when our residents’ funds are depleted, they can continue to live in our communities.

Who We Are: The Erica J. Holloman Foundation For The Awareness Of Triple Negative Breast Cancer is a nonprofit organization founded in 2012 in honor of Dr. Erica J. Holloman. Erica was a young African-American woman diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) at the age of 31. During her cancer fighting journey she saw the need to let others know about this highly aggressive form of breast cancer. Who We Are: IMPACT Autism™ is an all- volunteer charity that believes that both the quantity and quality of care options for those with autism are horribly deficient, especially for adults. We seek to change that and have formed an organization with the mission, the people and the ideas to move beyond the status quo.

We just celebrated our 20th year raising funds to support innovative programs that change the status quo.

where participants thrive in a safe environment where they work on communication, social, and job skills every day. During 2020, we were able to move to virtual programming for several months and were able to return to campus with all the safety protocols in place to protect our participants and staff during COVID-19. This program was created to respond to a call from state and federal governments to increase community integrated job opportunities we have funded an on-going program which focuses on employment, health/wellness, and lifelong learning.

These campus participants work on job skills every day in new on-campus ventures and in the community. II is open to adults aged 22 or older.

Why We’re Important: Autism is a complex brain disorder that inhibits a person’s ability to communicate, respond to surroundings, or form relationships with others. First identified more than 50 years ago, autism is now typically diagnosed by the age of two or three.

Autism knows no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries. Few disorders are more devastating to a child or his or her family. While some people with autism are only mildly affected, most with the condition will require lifelong care and will have significant language impairments. How We Serve the Community: Mental health remains shrouded in stigma at a time when the need for services for people suffering is increasing dramatically. The Center continues to offer free, public

Who We Are: Founders Chris and Jessica Cicchinelli hope to lead the charge toward a change in perspective and awareness to make our communities a safer, more inclusive place for transgender children.

To accomplish this, Living With Change engages with schools and businesses to help ensure transgender youth are protected and accepted while working with lawmakers to change existing policies, prevent discriminatory ones, and promote initiatives that help transgender youth thrive in a more inclusive and equitable future.

How We Serve the Community: In January 2022, we learned there are 280 anti-trans proposals in legislation across the United States. LWC fights for the trans community and strives to educate everyone about LBGTQIA+ rights. We host virtual support groups for trans teens and for parents and family. We also provide funding for the LWC Center at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, which also provides essential health care to trans youth and their families. Last year, we helped 35 people with legal fees so that they could change their name to the one that matches their identity.

What We Do: We support transgender youth and their families in their journey through our advocacy and partnerships. LWC is committed to increasing resources for holistic care. The Cicchinellis made a $2 Million donation to the former Cincinnati Children’s Hospital transgender clinic, now the Living With Change Center. We’re providing more funding to hire more workers, like a trans care navigator to help patients and their families. We also partner with Equality Ohio and TransOhio’s Legal Clinic by offering financial support for transgender residents who are engaged in the legal name change process in Ohio.

Why We’re Important: 50% of trans youth will attempt suicide in their lifetime. 1 in 4 trans youth did not go to a health care provider because they feared being mistreated. We know at least 7,400 transgender people live in the Great Cincinnati area alone. We can make a difference in their mental and physical health by providing care at the LWC Center at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. A Stanford University study shows that when trans people get gender-affirming hormone therapy, they are 222% less likely to

MEALS ON WHEELS safe and healthy at home. Our in-home visits provide unique opportunities to meet nutritional needs, combat isolation, address safety hazards and provide holistic care. But we are also working on new ways to address how we serve the community. We acquired a food truck so we can serve meals in new and different locations. We began working with corporate partners so we can serve fresh food such as salads, and created apps so seniors can order food rather than struggle with getting groceries. We are even addressing larger health issues by utilizing food as medicine.

Who We Are: The way Jennifer Steele sees it, nonprofit organizations should think and act more like Silicon Valley start-ups rather than dusty old organizations that are risk-adverse and haven’t changed in decades. They need to be creative and innovative, says the CEO of Meals on Wheels Southwest Ohio & Northern Kentucky. Tomorrow’s challenges can’t be solved using yesterday’s solutions. “We’re trying to transform what the future looks like for seniors,” Steele says. “We’re trying to solve big problems and change big systems, and the only way to do that is to be creative and innovative.” That’s why we like to say that we’re “Much more than a meal.”

How You Can Help: Many seniors can’t do it alone, and neither can we. We need your help to meet a growing need. A gift of $250 can provide a month’s worth of home-delivered nutritious meals and friendly visits to a homebound senior – and 100 percent of all gifts stay in our community. We offer meaningful volunteer opportunities for individual and groups, ranging from preparing meals in our kitchen to helping deliver meals directly to people in need. Who We Are: New Life Furniture Bank is a faith-based non-profit located in Blue Ash, Ohio, serving the Greater Cincinnati area. The region’s only nationally-registered furniture bank, we collect gently used furniture (mattresses/beds, dressers, tables, chairs, sofas, lamps) from people throughout Greater Cincinnati, inspect and clean it, then deliver the items directly to the homes of families in extreme need.

What We Do: A “furniture bank” works a lot like a food bank – only instead of food, we collect donations of gently used furniture and provide it to those in need. We deliver up to 18 items, furnishing empty houses of individuals and families overcoming homelessness, escaping domestic abuse, aging out of foster care, or rebuilding after disasters and extreme poverty. Having a furnished space restores dignity, brings pride of ownership, adds confidence, and allows people to stabilize while working toward self-sufficiency. We help get children sleeping on floors into warm, safe beds. For those who have lost everything or have nothing, we turn empty houses into homes.

Why We’re Important: Imagine your children sleeping and eating on cold, bare floors day after day and night after night. This is the harsh reality for thousands of low-income families escaping poverty in Greater Cincinnati. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Cincinnati’s child poverty rate is one of the highest in the nation, and the city is consistently ranked in the top poorest cities in our country with a poverty rate almost twice the state’s average. Our goal is for all Greater Cincinnati families to live in furnished homes, relieving suffering, strengthening family units, improving quality of life, and building a better community.

Who We Are: Ohio Valley Voices (OVV), founded in 1999, is an early intervention center and school that teaches children who are deaf and hard-of-hearing (D/HH) to listen and talk through the use of hearing aids and cochlear implants. We serve children and their families from infancy to age eight. After graduating from our program, the vast majority of OVV students will go on to attend their local school alongside their hearing peers. Our curriculum is designed to provide a comfortable, loving environment that fosters confidence and a lifelong love of learning through talking.

How You Can Help: While hearing devices like cochlear implants are typically covered by health insurance, OVV’s highly specialized services are not. We depend on the support and partnership of community members like you to ensure that our services remain accessible to all children. Over a third of our budget comes from financial contributions from individuals and foundations. We also rely on the generosity of our volunteers to keep our school programs running. What We Do: Simply put, OVV teaches children who are deaf to speak. First, our Family Center gives families an early start on teaching their child how to listen and talk through individualized therapy, parent education, and support. Next, the Academic Program focuses on giving preschool and early elementary children an education designed to accelerate the learning of spoken language, literacy, and academic subjects, the goal of which is to prepare each child to enter a mainstream school alongside their hearing peers. Finally, OVV provides audiological services to our students, alumni, and D/HH children throughout the region at our on-site clinic so that each child can make optimal use of his or her listening device.

Why We’re Important: There is a significant gap for a family when they have a child who receives a critical diagnosis, including daily activities, new division of time and resources for a family, the reality of unanticipated needs to be taken care of. One of Reviv’s main differentiators is in addition to caring for the entire family, Reviv does not require a specific diagnosis (cancer, cardiovascular, etc.) in order for a family to receive support.

How We Serve the Community: The Rotary Foundation of Cincinnati has a long history of meeting needs and providing critical support to organizations serving children and families.

In 1920, we created Cincinnati’s first school for children with disabilities. Those early hospital-based classes became today’s Roselawn Condon School for children with significant challenges – a legacy we have supported for more than a century. Our Camp Allyn in Batavia provides recreational and independence-building opportunities for children and adults with disabilities. We are in the midst of a $1 million expansion and renovation program at the camp, including the addition of 54 acres and infrastructure projects. Our high school youth programs include public speaking, mentoring and leadership.

What We Do: When you have more than 300 business and community leaders pulling together, you can do a lot – even during a pandemic. Since July 1, 2021, we donated more than $120,000 to local non-profits; we sent 15,000 pairs of sunglasses to schools and community members in Ghana; through our “Fruit Bowl” project, our members provide fresh fruit for students and families in the West End. Members have logged close to 500 hours on 28 community projects including clean-up days at Camp Allyn, Loveland Bike Trail and the Mill Creek Alliance, volunteering at Ronald McDonald House, WCET Action Auction, Tikkun Farm Greenhouse and Matthew 25 Ministries. Our key service focus is children with disabilities. This year we will celebrate the centennial of Camp Allyn in Batavia, which we created in 1921 to meet needs of people with polio or injuries from accidents. Today, Camp Allyn serves people with a wide range of disabilities through a partnership with Stepping Stones Ohio.

As part of our global mission, we are active in Rotary International’s war to eradicate polio worldwide. Our club is a key funder for projects bringing solar power to rural Uganda and bringing clean water to communities in Madagascar.

SPRINGER SCHOOL AND CENTER

How We Serve the Community: Students with LD can find success at Springer. Children enrolled in the Day School gain knowledge of their own learning profile and benefit from the individualized attention and support from our highly educated teachers. The Center's professional development programs raise awareness among local professionals and equip them to better serve the needs of their students with LD and ADHD. The Center also offers parents referrals, consulting services and classes that build understanding of the learning process and offer strategies for managing their children's learning difficulties. Additionally, the Center hosts an academic day camp program for students in the region every June and July.

Who We Are: Springer School and Center is the only school in the region devoted entirely to the education of children with learning disabilities (LD). The Day School serves 200 students in grades 1-8 with a staff-to-student ratio of 1:6. The school features research-based curriculum specially designed for children with learning disabilities. Through our outreach programs, parents and professionals develop an understanding of learning disabilities and the most effective means to address them. Springer's Center builds learning potential - one student, one parent, one educator at a time through their specialized programming.

Students use technolog y tools that support their success at Springer and equips them for success beyond. Each year, the Center hosts nationally renowned experts to address parents and professionals, conducts several in-person workshops, and offers online learning opportunities.

Who We Are: For more than 150 years, St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati has compassionately served residents of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. Over 1,100 community-based volunteers provide person-to-person support to struggling families and individuals, commonly through home visits. Equally important to extending basic needs assistance, we grow together in our spirituality and friendship through service.

What We Do: St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati provides a safety net for neighbors experiencing times of crisis. Volunteers and staff facilitate a wide range of services, including a network of food pantries, our clothing and furniture voucher program, rent and utilities assistance, free medication through our Charitable Pharmacy, the Rahe Bed Program and more. Through it all, we seek to illuminate pathways for neighbors pulling themselves out of difficult situations, providing hope and comfort along the way.

Why We’re Important: Amid the challenges of the pandemic, the level of need for assistance with essentials, such as food, clothing and shelter, remains high. Neighbors often turn to us when they have nowhere left to turn. In the past year, St. Vincent de Paul-Cincinnati distributed over $3.5 million in rent and utilities assistance, preventing eviction for thousands of families. In addition to immediate needs, we also work toward systemic change by offering workforce development programs, nutrition courses, innovative health services and more.

Who We Are: Stepping Stones is an impact organization you can trust to meet the needs of Greater Cincinnati’s children, teens and adults with disabilities and their families. We are a United Way partner agency serving more than 1,100 people with disabilities in day and overnight programs that increase independence and promote individual success. What We Do: Stepping Stones creates pathways to independence for people with disabilities. Programs include Greater Cincinnati’s oldest Summer Day Camp for children with disabilities, Respites and overnight Staycations for teens and adults, Saturday Kids/ Young Adults Clubs providing extracurricular activities, Adult Day Services focusing on health, active lifestyle, social interaction, and independence and Step-Up alternative education for students with autism. throughout the pandemic. In addition, our annual Duncanson Artistin-Residence program recognizes the achievements of contemporary Black artists working in a variety of disciplines. The artist works in the community through public programs, workshops, and visits schools across Greater Cincinnati with past artists including Nikki Giovanni, Thom Shaw, and Vanessa German.

Who We Are: Tucked away in downtown Cincinnati, the Taft Museum of Art is a living landmark where art and history live on the walls—and in the walls. Built around 1820 as a private home for several of Cincinnati's most prominent citizens, the Taft Museum of Art is now one of the finest small art museums in America and holds National Historic Landmark status for its historic house and Duncanson murals.

How You Can Help: The Taft Museum of Art invites you to join our Light Up the Night gala on June 18, 2022 from 7—11 p.m. celebrating the completion of our Bicentennial Infrastructure Project and our restored historic house. This special event fundraiser commemorates the Taft historic house’s 200th birthday and the 90th anniversary of the Taft Museum of Art, while also supporting the impactful educational programs the Taft provides to our community.

What We Do: Our historic house holds an extensive collection of European and American masterworks, 17th-19th century watches, Chinese porcelains, and French Renaissance enamels.
