At the heart of this is our Customer’s Own Material (COM) offering, giving you complete creative freedom. Almost every element of our designs can be tailored to your specifications, from cushion fills to bespoke trims and beautiful skirt details.
Whether your clients are looking for a relaxed, easygoing feel or a formal finish, we want to help you achieve the look they have in mind. To make this possible, we offer the choice of either a tailored slip cover or a fully upholstered fixed cover on models including Coco, Felix and Isobel.
We take great pride in our commitment to local manufacturing. Crafting pieces locally to such exacting standards is a true investment in quality, and our trade pricing is designed specifically to support and reward our professional partners. As a dedicated B2B service, we rely on you to manage your client relationships directly. For COM projects, this includes overseeing the sourcing and timely delivery of the correct fabric and meterage to our workshops so we can bring your vision to life. We are more than happy to help you source specific fabrics from the UK or ship COM fabric samples over from the UK. Please just keep in mind that both of these are chargeable services.

Sophie Conran
Sophie comes from a design family that has, across two generations, quietly shaped the way we live in Britain. Her father shaped the modern interior. Her mother shaped the modern table. Her brothers, in their own fields, have carried the family’s instinct for design into fashion, product and hospitality. Sophie has made the home itself her territory.
Her work, under her own name, now spans more than twenty years. Furniture, sofas, ceramics, glass, textiles, kitchenware, garden and outdoor living. All designed by Sophie, made with partners she has chosen herself, and held to a standard she sets personally.
What she has brought to the family’s design language is something entirely her own. Colour. Pattern. Warmth. The feeling of a home in use. Less the architecture of the room and more the life that happens inside it. A kitchen with the kettle on, a table laid for friends, a sofa that has been properly sat in.

Browse the full collection at trade pricing, configure pieces to your client’s exact requirements, generate professional quotes you can share directly, and order fabric cuttings, all in one place, all on your own time.
No more emailing back and forth for pricing. No more waiting for a swatch pack. No more rebuilding quotes by hand when the client changes their mind about the fabric.
What You Can Do
Browse the collection at trade pricing. Every standard sofa, chair, bed, and table in the Sophie Conran range, with your discount applied automatically. Filter by range and market.
Configure with Customer’s Own Material. Specify dimensions, cushion fills, trims, skirts, and covers. Use fabric from our library, or send us your Client’s Own Material and we’ll handle the rest. The portal shows you meterage requirements upfront; a Coco three-seater needs 23yds, for instance, so there are no surprises when the COM arrives at the workshop.
Build a quote, share it with your client. Every quote gets its own link. Your client sees the pieces you’ve specified, the fabric choices, the timings, and a clean total. When they’re ready to proceed, your trade team is notified and we take it from there.
Order fabric samples. Up to twelve swatches per project, posted within two working days. Past requests stay on file under ‘Fabrics Sample requests’, so you can always look back at what your studio has handled before.
Track everything. Recent quotes, saved configurations, samples baskets, and your account tier all sit on one home screen. Pick up exactly where you left off.
TRADE PORTAL
Trade Discount & How It Grows
We’ve kept the trade structure simple, and we’ve made it generous where it counts.
You receive 15% off retail on your first £10,000 of spend with us. Every pound beyond that £10,000 threshold is discounted at 20%, for as long as your account is open. The discount applies across cumulative spend, not single quotes, so the work you do for one client this month counts towards a better price on the next client’s project, and the one after that.
A note on what’s included. The trade discount applies across the full Sophie Conran range with one exception: armchairs, sofa beds, coffee tables and footstools are sold at retail when ordered on their own. The moment they’re part of a larger order, the discount applies to them too. In practice this means if you’re specifying a complete scheme, everything in it qualifies. If a client wants a single armchair or footstool on its own, that one sits at retail. The reason for this is that our costs for armchairs, sofa beds, coffee tables and footstools simply do not allow for stand-alone discounts.
The portal shows your running total, your current tier, and what each additional piece would do for the numbers, in real time. You always know where you stand.

What’s the difference between the Felix and the Henrietta? Can the Barton be made in a four-seater? Does this armchair qualify for the discount if I add it to my existing scheme? How do I request samples for a client presentation?
She’ll answer factually, in plain English, and if a question needs human eyes, a bespoke dimension, an unusual fabric, a project with specific commercial terms, she’ll bring in the trade team without you having to chase. Nadia is a concierge, she’s there to make the work move faster.

Because every piece is handmade to order, you have the freedom to tailor our designs to your client’s needs. This includes using Customer’s Own Material (COM), giving you complete creative freedom to specify your own fabrics, alongside cover options, cushion styles and fills, beautiful piping details, and a choice of feet.
Whether you are specifying a cosy loveseat for a bay window or a sprawling sofa for family gatherings, we are here to help. Simply share your ideas and swatches with us. Handcrafted with extraordinary care using only the finest materials, we ensure every detail is just right for your clients.
How COM Works
To proceed with a COM order, we ask our trade partners to handle the fabric sourcing and direct delivery to us. Here are the four steps to see it through:
1 Confirm the size and configuration so we can give you the exact meterage required.
2 Read the meterage from the table matched to fabric type: plain, stripe, floral or print.
3 Source and deliver the fabric to our workshops. For COM projects this sits with you.
4 We cut, make and finish to your full specification, with your chosen trim and fit.
Knife-Edge
FLAT PIPING
Our signature flat piping runs around our seat, back and side cushions.
OXFORD BORDER
Oxford Border cushion covers are wonderfully relaxed and cosy. They soften the overall silhouette of the sofa and give the cushions a pillow-like feeling.
Box-Edge
FLAT PIPING
Box edge cushions tend to look more structured. If you add our flat piping detail it gives them a more casual feeling.
ROUND PIPING
Our box edge cushions with round piping are very classic in style and instantly give our sofas a smarter and more formal look.
SOFT EDGE
The clean lines of our soft edge cushion covers give a more contemporary feeling to our sofas.

BOX PLEAT SKIRT
Our slip cover sofas can also be made with a tailored box pleat finish to provide a distinctive, sophisticated aesthetic.
DRESSMAKER SKIRT
Our sofas can be made with a slip cover. Bows at the back allow the cover to be easily removed for washing.
RUFFLED SKIRT
Our slip cover sofas can be made with a gathered ruffled skirt, offering a soft finish to your upholstery.
FIXED COVER WITH DRAYCOT LEGS
Our fixed cover sofas can be customised with your choice of wooden legs, available in a Natural Birch, Walnut, or Ebony finish.
FIXED COVER
Our sofas can be made with a fully upholstered cover for a clean, modern aesthetic.

For Knife-Edge and Box-Edge cushions, you can choose how you want the detailing finished:
SELF PIPED (FLAT OR ROUND)
Piping in the same fabric as the sofa for a calm, unified look.
CONTRAST PIPED (FLAT OR ROUND)
An outline in a contrasting fabric for a distinctive, design-led feel.
Cushion Fill Options
FIBER, DOWN & FOAM (STANDARD)
Best for a balanced feel with lower maintenance. A polyurethane foam core wrapped in a 50/50 blend of feather/down and fibre. It is supportive yet soft.
LATEX CORE
Best for natural support without synthetic foams. A 3-inch natural latex core wrapped in an all-down jacket.
ALL-FEATHER & DOWN
Best for unmatched softness and traditional luxury. Filled with 95% grey duck feathers and 5% down for a deep, plush feel. Requires regular plumping.
FIBER & FOAM (HYPOALLERGENIC)
For our hypoallergenic cushions, our high-density foam core is wrapped in an all-fiber blanket for the same luxurious sit quality without the feathers. For sofas made to this specification, the back and arm cushions are entirely fiber-filled.

Our Coco sofas have become an iconic signature design of our sofa collection. The generously proportioned cushions help make a sumptuous sofa you can sit in or lie across for hours. In fact, the wonderfully plump side cushions mean you can lie lengthways and be fully supported, perfect for lazy afternoons reading or evenings watching your favourite show.
Coco is available in a large range of sizes and different cushion and cover styles. You can even choose between different piping and leg options. All our loose covers or slip covers are easily removable simply by untying the specially made bows at the back. We also make a fully upholstered fixed cover version which works particularly well for fabrics like velvets and settings that suit a slightly more formal feeling.
Coco has a fully sprung seat base with individual coil springs, providing deep comfort and long-term support.

Four Decisions, One Base Range
The beauty of the Coco frame lies in its versatility. Through four key design choices, you can completely transform its character, shifting the aesthetic from beautifully relaxed to impeccably tailored. It allows you to specify the exact same silhouette for two different clients, yet deliver two completely distinct pieces.
A linen union, a cotton check, a velvet, a printed weave. Cover alone moves the same frame from coastal and easy to formal and composed.
A deep, soft, lived-in cushion or a firmer, more structured one. This sets how relaxed the sofa feels before a single trim is added.
Flat piping, an Oxford border, or a clean soft edge with no piping at all. A contrast piping makes the piece defined; a soft edge keeps it calm.
A loose, relaxed slip cover or a fixed, tailored upholstered one. The same Coco becomes either an informal piece or a precise, architectural one.

How to Specify a Coco
We have designed the entire specification process to be as seamless as possible. By working through the details in sequence, each decision naturally guides the next. Six considered choices, and your custom sofa is complete.
Size or Configuration
Eight standard sizes, modular, chaise

Begin with the brief. Footstool through four-seater as a single piece, or a modular and chaise system for a room that needs to be built to shape.
2 Cover Fit
Loose slip cover, fixed upholstered
Decide the register first. A loose cover reads relaxed and is removable for cleaning; a fixed cover reads tailored and suits velvets and formal rooms. .
Skirt or Leg
Dressmaker, box pleat, ruffled, shown leg

A skirt finish softens the base to the floor. A leg lifts the piece: Liddington, Walcot, Draycot or metal Wroughton, across six finishes.
Cushion Style
Knife-edge, box-edge
Knife-edge cushions sit soft and informal. Box-edge cushions sit structured and defined. This is the single largest swing between casual and sharp.
5 Trim to the Cushions
Flat piping, oxford border, soft edge
Then the detail. Flat piping is the Coco signature; an Oxford border softens further; a soft edge removes piping entirely for the quietest finish.
6 Cover Fabric
House fabric, COM
Finally the fabric, in a house plain, stripe or print, or your client’s own material. COM meterage is set out overleaf, by size and by fabric type.

The Henrietta Sofa Collection
Henrietta is a classic shape originating from a faithful reproduction of a late nineteenth century sofa gifted to Sophie by her mother many years ago. Rather than reinterpreting the design, Henrietta has been recreated exactly as it would have been made at the time, using traditional upholstery techniques with patience, skill, and extraordinary attention to detail.
Henrietta has a fully sprung seat base with individual coil springs, providing deep comfort and long-term support. The back of the sofa is also fully sprung, creating a softness and responsiveness that reproduces the extraordinary attention to comfort of the original.
The upholstery is immaculate, with hand-finished piping and pleating throughout. The legs are individually hand carved in Italy, with carved ball feet that lift the sofa visually and add to the sense of refinement.
The single seat cushion is filled with a 70% feather and 30% down blend, giving a welcoming, indulgent feel while still holding its shape beautifully.

The Sophia Sofa Collection
Sophie has owned the original late eighteenth century version of our Sophia sofa for over twenty years now and has loved it from the moment she first saw it. It’s a very versatile piece as it works equally well as a more formal sofa in a hallway or drawing room, an occasional sofa in a study, or an extremely comfortable dining sofa. We have carefully reproduced this sofa to the exact proportions of the original. We have upgraded the comfort with the addition of a sprung base and high quality foam removable seat cushion. Sophia is fully customisable and comes in two sizes of sofa and an armchair as standard.
Sophia has serpentine springs in the seat base providing real comfort and long-term support.

The Barton Sofa Collection
The Barton Sofa is a treasured design within our collection as it is similar to a favourite of Sophie’s father, Sir Terence Conran, and for several decades was a best seller in The Conran Shops around the world. Barton is a very deep and generously proportioned sofa that, depending on the size, can easily double up as a super comfortable single bed.
Barton has a fully sprung seat base with individual coil springs, providing deep comfort and long-term support.

The Sofa Bed & Headboard Collection
Finding a beautifully tailored sofa that offers the true comfort of a bed is a rarity, which is why we designed the Coco Sofa Bed. Available in a variety of sizes, from generous doubles to practical singles perfect for a home office, each design folds out to reveal a considered bed setup, complete with a fitted valance and your choice of a fully sprung or memory foam mattress.
To complete your client’s bedroom scheme, our bespoke headboards are individually handmade in the USA. Crafted to standard or custom dimensions, they come with adjustable legs for easy mounting to either the bed base or the wall.
As with our entire collection, both our sofa beds and headboards can be upholstered in any of our house fabrics or in customer’s own material (COM), and finished with your exact choice of piping, ensuring the final piece perfectly complements your design scheme.

Design Notes
The silhouette is a classic half-tester, with a wall-mounted corona that draws the eye upward and creates a real sense of enclosure around the bed. Shown here in Wildwood Ivory, a botanical print on a viscoselinen blend drawn from the garden. The headboard has a softly scalloped profile finished with hand-piped edging, and the decorative valance mirrors the same hand-pleated detail, so the whole piece reads as one considered idea rather than a set of parts.
The base is fully upholstered, so the bed sits cleanly on the floor with no break between fabric and frame.

A Note For Trade
The Bespoke Bed is engineered for a calm installation. The internal tester frame is light but properly reinforced, and mounts securely to most wall types with very little visible hardware. We will guide your fitters through it.

Finding a coffee table that is both elegant and highly practical can be a challenge, which is why we created our upholstered collection. Designed to bring a softer element to your client’s living space, each piece can be tailored to almost any size and dressed in any suitable fabric, featuring clever loose covers that are incredibly easy to change.
Just like our seating, every table is handmade by skilled craftspeople in the USA. The beautiful legs are individually carved by a talented woodturner in American Black Walnut, with bespoke options available in exquisite timbers such as English Oak, Maple, and Sycamore. While they are not designed to be used as seating, they provide the perfect refined surface for displaying beautiful books and treasured objects.
