The HandleBards return to Giggleswick on their 10th anniversary tour with a brand-new production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Pedalling around the UK by bicycle, with all the necessary set, props and costume in tow, the HandleBards return by popular demand - and, as usual, we can expect riotous amounts of energy, a fair old whack of chaos, and a great deal of laughter.

Four young lovers find themselves enveloped in the dream-like arms of a magical forest full of sprites, where a feuding Fairy King and Queen are at war over the possession of an Indian boy. A group of amateur actors share the same forest. They’re rehearsing for a play. Fairies and humans collide. Hilarity ensues.

This is an outdoor production, so please bring your own chair or blanket, a picnic to dig into, and dress for the weather!

It’s all fun and games.

This summer, we’re ripping up the recipe book and whipping up a theatrical treat like no other in outdoor venues all across the UK: a three-actor production of J.M.Barrie’s classic play Peter Pan.

Let your imagination soar as they dish out this timeless tale of hapless pirates, feral children and a particularly punctual reptile. This show isn’t just for kids; their brilliant buffoonery will have picnickers of all ages cackling into their coleslaw. This is one flight of fancy you don’t want to miss!

Grab a bottle, grab a friend, and seek out some silliness with Slapstick Picnic.

Joe has always been a nerd. In his teens, he hid it. In his twenties, he owned it. Now in his thirties, Joe is still obsessed with Nintendo, Star Wars, and The Muppet Christmas Carol. But he’s started to sense something: a great disturbance in the fandom… Alone, sorting through his old things, Joe finds an old video tape, in an old VCR, long forgotten. He presses play…and something amazing starts to happen!

Fanboy is a love-hate letter to pop culture and nostalgia. Award-winning writerperformer Joe Sellman-Leava (Fringe First, Labels) explores our relationship to our past and future selves and asks why his generation is so obsessed with its childhood.
