GIGGLESWICK FOUNDATION BURSARY FUND
CHANGING LIVES Giggleswick School’s history is one steeped in philanthropy. The mission of the Giggleswick Foundation remains as true today as it did for chantry priest James Carr 500 years ago - to raise funds to support and provide the widest possible access to a Giggleswick education.
The school currently provides more than 40 pupils with means-tested bursarial assistance every year and we work with a number of trusts and charities to support children from a variety of backgrounds. However, demand is growing and we need help to support as many children as we can.
Donations from Old Giggleswickians, parents, staff and friends of the School have helped to provide bursaries for pupils throughout our history and continue to enable us to provide lifechanging experiences.
There's no doubt that Giggleswick made a very positive impact upon my life. Lucy, Style 2009

When I first attended Giggleswick, I was a world away from the person that I became. I can wholeheartedly say that but for Giggleswick and the support and pastoral care I received I would have fallen by the wayside. At Giggleswick I was supported every step of the way, gaining confidence in everything I did. I am proud to say that as a result of this value added, and the confidence gained through my time at Giggleswick I went onto higher education at a Russell Group
University. I then went to study the Bar, and qualify as a barrister in 2017. I can say with complete certainty that without Giggleswick I never would have had the support and opportunities that enabled me to reach my potential. Charles, Paley 2010
