Both conceptually and physically, circles are symbols of unity. The circle has been used to symbolise community, togetherness, and inclusivity. West Hendon at present, does not facilitate local inclusivity as much as it has the potential to.

At all scales that the circle is implemented on the site it symbolises a spaces to stop. This means to rest, take a pause from the city, to enjoy yourself, to finish an international bike route, or a local park run, and overall, to take a break in your repetitive routine.

For every person who will use this site, the circle will convey familiarity and will be represented by choreographed design as well as natural human behaviour.

To improve the flow of the site and the access from North to South, I have designed a 4m wide route compromised of footpaths and board walks that follows the circumference of the Reservoir. The loop is 5km which could be used for Park runs, daily walks, north and south access, and leisurely strolls.
