INTRO DUCTION For my portfolio I really wanted to incorporate my playful personality into my website and I believe that I achieved that with the layout and design of my portfolio.

My portfolio website showcases some of my personal works but it mostly features my graphic design works for school requirements.

INSPIRATION The pegs I chose for my inspirations, they all mainly came from pinterest. You will be able to see a lot of inspired elements in my finished portfolio. I took a lot of pieces of elements from their portfolio because bringing them together would make my playful design even more playful themed.

Especially with the polaroids, the dynamic lines that I turned into clouds, and the personalization of my about me page.

For my mood board, this showcases the initial inspiration pegs that I wanted to incorporate in my portfolio, still following with the playful-like theme .

RESEARCH

As for my inspiration and research on existing website portfolios, I decided to look at Roi Arts’s and Artie Arts’s portfolios, since their overall themes are very vibrant and playful, I really wanted to include that in my design. I also noticed that Artie Arts maximizes the entire screen for their portfolio which is very eyecatching. Although I tried to do that with my portfolio, in the end I did a very minimal design for mine.

CONCEPT DEVELOP MENT This is the sketch that I used for my current and final portfolio, essentially still the very same layout but I added a few elements to my final output.

This was my initial sketch of my portfolio, it was supposed to have more elements than what the final one has now but I ended up making it a lot more minimal than I intended it to be

This is the sketch I made for one of my works page and I still used this layout but initially I wanted to have my works page be continuous and not separated into two different windows.

APPLICATION OF ELEMENTS AND PRINCIPLES OF DESIGN It’s evident that I incorporated balance and symmetry with my portfolio design, you can see it all over the pages with the elements being centered and the balance of the two polaroids in my home page.

Typography is also present in my design and also the unity of colors, how everything ties together and doesn’t hurt the eyes of the viewers that much.

Emphasis can also be seen especially in my works page wherein I highlight my works most specifically.
