The texture of the design provides ideas on how to create a more interesting surface. Topographically, it provides ideas on how to place each component structurally in relation to each other
SCHIZOPHYLLUM COMMUNE
The studies on the textures/gills of the mushroom as well as medium to large scale growth of them. The patterns on the mushroom could be translated into magnetic fields which these drawings explore as well as how it would look topographically as a single unit.
MAGNETIC FIELD - STRUCTURE PLACEMENT
These studies look into how would the structures react to each other in an environment. It works with increasing number of points.
PHYSICAL MODELS
These models are the physical manifestation of the striated concept, loosely borrowing from the effect of the magnetic field studies. The physical models lack the rigorous studies afforded by the digital iterations but in exchange,
provides a lyrical interpretation of the concept.
