Fountain Hills Thanksgiving Day Parade There’s no better way to kick off the holidays and get into the spirit than the Fountain Hills Thanksgiving Day Parade. Held at 9 am Thanksgiving morning, it is a wonderful tradition that dates back to 1983 and grows stronger every year. Put your turkey in the oven, dress warm and come down to watch bands, floats, horse drawn entries, antique and classic cars and clowns galore. There are marching and dancing groups, motorcycle drill teams and the don’t be surprised if you see the Jolly Old Elf, himself. It is the only Thanksgiving Day Parade in Arizona, and starts at the corners of Saguaro and El Lago Boulevards, lasting about 1.5 hours in length.
