North Heights

Nestled in the Sonoran Desert Foothills of the McDowell Mountains

A Model for Sensitive Desert Development

Affordable Custom Homes

The neighborhood of North Heights was the model for sensitive development in the Sonoran Desert foothills of the McDowell Mountains. Developed as a custom homesite sales effort between 1988 and 1998, lots range in size from approximately ¼ acre to over an acre. Each site was initially planned with a designated building envelope and open space requirements, preserving as much natural desert as possible. The result is a lovely setting of elegant custom homes tucked within the boulder outcroppings and sensitive desert landscapes that only Mother Nature could create.

All North Heights homes are custom designed and built, ranging from approximately 2,000 sq. ft. to over 5,000 sq. ft. Many have pools and all have at least a 2 or 3 car garage. Prices range from under $500,000 to over $1.5 million. A few custom homesites are still vacant and may be available for purchase.

Southwest Neighborhood Theme Deed restrictions allow a variety of Southwestern, architectural styles that complement the desert environment. There is a neighborhood property owners association that enforces basic guidelines with a low, annual HOA fee.

SunRidge Canyon SunRidge Canyon Golf Community: A Fountain Hills Original

Canyon Golf at its Finest

Extraordinary Home Values

The creators of this popular Arizona course, named to Golf Magazine’s “Top 100 Courses You Can Play in the US”, weren’t thinking of tame, ordinary golf when they carved SunRidge Canyon’s legendary fairways from the raw desert canyon of its origins.
SunRidge Canyon’s 6,823-yard, par-71, Keith Foster-designed golf course unfolds around the rugged ridges and lush canyons unique to the McDowell Mountains that divide Fountain Hills from Scottsdale.

There are nearly 800 homes within SunRidge Canyon, located along the meandering fairways and often elevated nicely above the course to facilitate panoramic views.
