Choose your theme Immersive Music Production. Dolby introduces music production in Dolby Atmos. Work with a piece of music in Atmos, applying the techniques presented and exploring spatial, artistic and technical choices. Your immersive production is the basis for on-site feedback. Sound for Film and TV. Apply different sound design methods to a film sequence provided by Sonic College. Record original sound effects and use sound libraries. Receive feedback on your effects and consider the creative and practical value of both approaches in supporting the scene.
Who can participate Bachelor and master students in music production, sound design, audio engineering, film, media production or related fields, with relevant production experience and the ability to discuss their work in English. Select your theme in consultation with your home institution.
Preparation and online collaboration After the teaching session, spend approximately 2–3 working days applying the methods to your production and preparing it for feedback. Existing material may be used as a starting point; the preparation must include practical work with the techniques introduced during the programme. An optional Zoom session on 9 November offers peer exchange and Q&A. Students introduce themselves and their projects in small international groups, discuss challenges, and bring shared questions to a plenary Q&A with the teaching team. The time will be confirmed. Technical specifications, software access, equipment requirements and instructions for sharing work will be confirmed. The full workload allocation across preparation, the physical week and final reflection is being finalised for the 3 ECTS programme.

Theme-specific workshops and feedback on student productions.
Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 November
Sonic Days participation, with sessions selected for each theme and opportunities for professional exchange.
Friday 20 November
Reflection, knowledge integration, international collaboration and programme wrapup.
Tuesday–Friday is an indicative outline. The detailed timetable and teaching team will be announced.
What you will learn By completing the programme, students will be able to apply relevant production methods within their theme, explain artistic and technical choices, exchange perspectives with international peers, critically evaluate feedback, and justify potential changes to their work. Music students focus on spatial mixing choices in Dolby Atmos. Film students also evaluate the use of original recordings and library sounds in relation to narrative intention, creative control and production needs.
Individual assessment The final assessment is a short individual written reflection in English, graded using the Danish 7-point grading scale. The reflection should: Briefly describe the production and its artistic or narrative intention. Summarise the main feedback received, using concrete examples. Evaluate the feedback and explain which suggestions you would adopt or reject. Justify potential changes and explain their expected effect on the production. The grade reflects subject-specific understanding, critical evaluation and the quality of the reasoning. The production supports the learning and feedback process; it does not need to be revised or resubmitted after the week. The reflection template, word limit, submission deadline and assessment arrangements will be confirmed. Assessors will be appointed once partner teaching contributions are known. Successful completion of the programme and assessment awards 3 ECTS.
Registration and institutional coordination Registration deadline: 21 October 2026. Prospective partners should first provide their institution name, a contact person and an indication of whether they expect to send students. Anne Jeppesen will coordinate the next administrative steps. Students select their theme with their home institution. Partner registration. UC SYD must add each partner institution in its system before the institution can access this BIP in the Beneficiary Module. Contact Anne to arrange this step. Learning Agreement and results. Agree recognition of the 3 ECTS with the home institution before participation. The designated Learning Agreement and Transcript of Records signatories and the timetable for issuing results will be confirmed.
