Song:Expo 2025
15th - 23th of October 2025
15th - 23th of October 2025
Greetings and a warm welcome to the 15th edition of Trondheim Song:Expo!
It’s an absolute joy to gather here once again in Trondheim, surrounded by the unmatched energy of collaboration, creativity, and connection that defines this event.
This year, we are entering a new era. The world of music is being transformed by AI, reshaping how we create, share, and imagine songs. At the same time, K-pop continues its meteoric rise, with projects like Demon Hunters lifting the genre to even greater global heights, and we’re proud that Song:Expo writers and producers have been part of that journey.
Over the next week, some of the world’s most brilliant creators from Norway, the Nordics, Asia, the U.S., and beyond will come together to craft what we believe could be the next wave of global hits. We know from experience how powerful this process can be. Since its beginnings, Song:Expo has contributed to billions of streams, millions of physical sales, and hundreds of chart-topping hits, including multiple Billboard No. 1s. Songs born here have found their way to artists like aespa, Red Velvet, TWICE, EXO, NCT 127, NCT Dream, Super Junior, and beloved national stars Marcus & Martinus, Ynga, Frøder, CLM, and many more.
What began as a bold idea to showcase Norwegian talent to the world has now become one of the most successful songwriting camps on the planet. Our guiding principle remains unchanged: success is built on collaboration, co-writing, networking, and the fearless pursuit of creativity in the studio. Today, with AI as both a tool and a collaborator, the horizon of what is possible in songwriting has expanded further than ever before.
Song:Expo’s mission is to inspire and empower. We are here to open doors, to offer mentorship, guidance, and access to a global creative network. Our role is to elevate talent, refine skills, and help spark the next generation of worldwide hits.
Song:Expo is also a celebration of diversity and inclusion. Here, creators from every corner of the globe come together in a safe, collaborative space where all voices are valued. We proudly champion equality, multiculturalism, and gender neutrality, ensuring creativity thrives in every form.
A heartfelt thank you to our incredible partners and sponsors, whose support makes this camp possible: Sparebank 1 SMN, TONO, Music Norway, Trondheim Municipality, Trøndelag Fylkeskommune, Arts Council of Norway, KREATION Music Rights, and Dsign Music.
As we begin Song:Expo 2025, let’s embrace this new era with curiosity, courage, and passion. Together, we will continue to write the future of music.
Let’s make history, and let’s make magic!

The music industry hub in Trondheim
The past years the Song:Expo camp has found place in Fjordgata. As of 2020 we moved to the new studio wing at Musikkbyen. Musikkbyen is a hub for the music industry in Trondheim, where the companies and organizations have their own office spaces and co-working space.
We are proud to finally be able to host Song:Expo in the brand new studios and the great office hub that has been founded at the docks of Trondheim.
Welcome!
