Originally built in 1927, the residential-style landmark hotel was called the Beverly Hotel.
The ornamental details helped make the building an architectural icon.

beauty of the Beverly Hotel
was also the
inspiration of Georgia O’Keeffe 1929 “New York Night” featuring the hotel and the iconic rosette at the top of the building.

In 1997, the hotel was renamed “The Benjamin.”
The exterior was restored to its original grandeur and received landmark status in 2017.
