Whether making-up or breaking-out tooling, Vermeer has the right breakout device for your needs.

Vermeer now offers a 21,500 foot pound (29,150 Nm) portable hydraulic breakout device that includes forged alloy wrenches, two sets of dies, hydraulic cylinder and a 28-volt hydraulic power unit with two Milwaukee lithium batteries (includes charger). The system’s wide grip range is compatible with tooling ranging from 2.5 inch-5.75 inch (6.3 cm-14.6 cm) in diameter tooling. Specialty bit breaker wrench arms are available for use with PDC and tricone rock bits.

For smaller tooling applications, there is the Vermeer PDD11500 breakout tongs that can handle tooling ranging from 1.66 inch-3.50 inch (4.2 cm-8.9 cm) in diameter and delivers up to 11,500 ft-lb (15,592 Nm) of torque.
