Motorcyclists roared their engines to raise funds for the SOMC Hospice Caritas Fund.

Dawg Days of Summer

This one-day CrossFit competition for community members from all over brought in donations for the SOMC Community Health & Wellness Fund.

Run For Your Life

The annual race had participants of all age groups and backgrounds participate in 5k and 10k runs.

The competition raised funds for the SOMC Community Health & Wellness Fund.

Light It Pink

Hundreds of community members gathered around Hillview Retirement Center’s pond to honor those who have had cancer, those currently battling cancer, and those who have lost their lives to cancer.

A touching ceremony took place demonstrating cancer’s past, present, and future followed by a lantern launch.

All proceeds benefited the SOMC Compassion Fund.

SOMC Gift Card Extravaganza

Twice a year, SOMC employees have the chance to payroll deduct gift cards from local businesses and large corporations. These businesses give 5% back to the SOMC Development Foundation. During our fall gift card sale, nearly $700,000 was purchased in gift cards by our employees!

A New Event Is Coming!

This January, the SOMC Development Foundation will be presenting a new black-tie event. To be the first to know, like us on Facebook @SOMCDevelopment Foundation to stay up to date!

>> Hospice Expansion Project Update The $3 million Hospice Expansion Project, Transcending Lives, has been undergoing construction since 2019.

The new wing addition, adding four new patient rooms and staff support areas, was completed in 2021.

After the completion of the new wing, each wing has been closed off individually for a remodel.

We are excited to announce that we are in the final stages and have plans to finish the project entirely by the end of the year. Once finished, the center will have a total of 16 patient rooms to serve our community with.

The final piece of this transformation to the hospice center will be the addition of our new donor wall. This beautiful glass etched wall, adorned with doves, will feature donors that made this project possible.

Our mission is to make a difference by identifying the community’s health and wellness needs while bridging the gap between those needs and the cost of the solutions.

The SOMC Development Foundation encompasses fundraising efforts for Hospice, Cancer, Employee Relief, Heart & Vascular, Pediatrics, Community Health and Wellness, the Endowment Fund and the areas of greatest need.

These funds generate much needed support and enable SOMC to continually deliver extraordinary care for future generations to come. We consider it our responsibility to serve our community and we take pride in doing so.
