Created in 2007, this fund helps support the patients and families of outpatient care and those staying at our hospice facility. Numerous projects have been completed to help improve the quality of life of these patients. From end-of-life wishes such as seeing their favorite band or having a wedding to building outdoor recreation areas and providing new wheelchairs, those who donate to this fund make a difference.
In addition to the heartwarming stories of how this fund has helped make our patients smile, this fund goes beyond that. One of the things that makes the SOMC Hospice Center special is
that it does not bill past what insurance pays. So, when families are grieving, this fund helps pick up the costs allowing us to continue offering this exceptional care.
