Winner Wonderland Due to COVID-19, we transformed our traditional Winter Wonderland Ball into Winner Wonderland. On the evening of December 4, 2020, we hosted our first ever Facebook Live event so that our guests could enjoy a virtual Winner Wonderland from the comfort of their homes. Our Facebook Live event consisted of a reverse raffle for an assortment of prizes and cash. Thanks to our over 300 participants and a generous anonymous donation of $35,000, we were able to purchase six Ultrasound Guided IV Placement units. These units allow for quick and easy IV placements for our patients. While our raffle participants had the chance to win big money, the patients are the real winners.

2020 Recap Let’s celebrate everything you made possible in 2020! » You fed 863 employees through the

Feed Our Frontline Campaign

» You helped establish the COVID-19

Emergency Relief Fund

» You provided 10 Jerry Bears to help

children with type 1 diabetes learn how to manage their condition

» You provided wigs, medication,

transportation, and more for cancer patients

» You made end-of-life wishes come

true for hospice patients

» You provided coats, school supplies,

clothing, and more for local schools

And most importantly… you made a difference!

Hospice Expansion Project Update The newest wing of our hospice center will soon be available for patients! Once this area becomes available, we will continue construction on each wing, one at a time, until the entire center has been renovated. In the meantime, here is a sneak peek of our donor wall that will be installed in the main entrance of the hospice center.

SOMC Employees Give Back Each year, employees have the opportunity to give back through the annual Employee Giving Campaign, Make a Difference. Even through tough times, our employees show an abundance of generosity and love for our community. With more than 600 employees participating, more than $102,000 has been pledged to local charities and to our own SOMC Development Foundation funds. In the fall of 2020, employees selected Steven Hunter Hope Fund, Homeless Shelter, Southern Ohio Task Force on Domestic Violence, Salvation Army, and Sierra’s Haven to donate to through payroll deductions throughout 2021. We are grateful for our employees and all that they do!
