...only by being well aware of relevance of "diference" can you build great ideas and generate opportunities

Mayor of Onzonilla

When SOLTRA invited me to write this editorial, in addition to the honor of collaborating with an entity that is part of our industrial estate, I thought about the responsibility that this commission entails and that, surely, I would not say anything new. Therefore I already ask for forgiveness. I see myself in the obligation to leave annotated the importance that the social action has for me, as a person and as a representative of a public administration so close to the people, to the neighbors. Many of the actions we carry out at the City Council have an important social component. Only by being wel aware of the relevance of "difference" can you build great ideas and generate opportunities. In the same way, I see that SOLTRA not only does not exclude functional diversity,

Edit: SOLTRA Manager: Josean Idoeta Coordination: Gemma González Edition: María Fdez Torre Legal Deposit: LE-561-2012

but also promotes it. It is nice to note this with the example of an international entity that has full inclusion in its sights. I understand that it is a destination to which all entities, organizations and companies must go, regardless of their ownership. But just because it is a destination does not mean that it is not necessary to recognize who, from now on, has set to work. "Become Incluencer" campaign, is the best proof of commitment to an idea. By the way, an idea that our school´ s students have already lived with absolute success. From an employment point of view, SOLTRA landed in Onzonilla with fifty new jobs. Many of them were occupied by people from our environment, people with different abilities and with serious difficulties in finding

quality employment. I value the effort to offer a job to people who would otherwise be left out of society, I say this because I have experienced this problem very closely. In this sense, SOLTRA is a paradigm of good leadership. It is important that I conclude expressing my pride, which surely is that of all the inhabitants of Onzonilla, for Soltra´ s choice to settle in our municipality to continue adding good projects and initiatives with inclusion and employment. And wishing the greatest of success in this endeavor.

SOLTRA APS consolidates its project The danish subsidiary of SOLTRA continues to grow

SOLTRA APS styrker sit projekt

It all started two years ago, on October 29, 2018, when several Danish authorities visited León to meet SOLTRA and Gureak in Guipúzcua.

To år er gået, siden nogle interesserede danskere besøgte León for at lære SOLTRA at kende. Grundlaget for dette besøg var at opnå dybere kendskab til virksomheden for derigennem at kunne tage de første skridt ind i et fremtidigt spansk-dansk samarbejde.

The reason was no other than to see this lionese com pany on the spot in order to be able to consult a future spanish-danish cooperation. This is how the creation of the Soltra Aps company, today located in the town of Tim, on the west coast of Denmark emerged. Since then, almost 24 months have passed and the activity of SOLTRA in Denmark continues to grow, there are already 33 workers who are part of this project. We are aware of the importance

of training, we are qualitatively strengthening all departments, in order to provide more opportunities for our workers. Danish language courses have initially taken place for non national workers and other training actions are expected in the future.

Díaz (Director of tthe Services Division), one of the pioneers of SOLTRA project were in charge of doing it.

February was dedicated to the topic of sexuality and disability. People with intellectual disabilities have belonged to one of the minorities who have been denied any possibility of satisfying their emotional and sexual needs. However, from perspective of normalization and integration, it is necessary to work on the issue of sexuality and interpersonal relationships as a right that no one should deprive them of. Among activities carried out, the topic of sexuality standed out a talk given by María Isabel de Paz and Beatriz Gayol from SACYL. Gender equality was the topic in March. We had the collaboration of the residents of SOLTRA Foundation who were responsible for the preparation of murals on International Women's Day (March 8).

15 ars jubilæum hos CINIA i MEXICO

15 anniversary of Cinia México Since 2005 in Mexican city of Puebla Iñaki Alkorta (President of Gureak) says that when they visited Mr. Antonino in Mexico at the start of SOLTRA in Spain, he looked at him and said "Spain is over and now ... what can we do? to do here in Mexico? ". This is how 5 years after the birth of SOLTRA in Spain, Mr. Antonino Fernández, convinced of the importance of work for people with different abilities, replicated the same model in Puebla, under the name of CINIA, the same name as his wife.

In May, Cinia México obtained the IATF 16949 certificate for the assem bly of electrical components for the automotive sector, production and assembly of lighting sets.

Now we celebrate the 15th anniversary of this company in México where today almost 400 employees with sensory, intellectual and/or motor disabilities, day by day make their work an example of inspiration for many others.

One more step, which confirms SOLTRA and CINIA's com mitment to quality and continuous improvement.

IATF 16949 has become an essential condition for any organization working in the global automotive manufacturing supply chain. Many of the world's leading automakers make this certification a contractual requirement for their suppliers.

Juan Antonio Mateo General Manager Network Steel Group

How long have you been w orking at Net w ork St eel and w hat w ould you high light about t his com pany? In October 2016 I started working in the Network Steel Group, one of the most important steel industrial groups in the country. Until then, all my working life had been in the insurance sector, so the change was very big. I would stand out from the group and the reason I made the decision to change is because it is a family group. The president Oscar Heckh is totally different from other companies: dedication, drive, speed in decision-making. .. Dynamism would be its fundamental feature, something that is reflected in the growth that we have had in recent years.

How m any st aff are un der your com m and? What qualit ies do you value m ost in t hem ?

Throughout the Network Steel Group we are already 400 employees. We have very different business lines (steel trading, central offices, steel painting factories, cutting factories ...) and we must understand that we are talking about companies with very different jobs, but in all of them I have found highly qualified professionals and valued in this difficult market. They are also people with a lot of corporate sense and identified with the objectives of the organization.

Why does Net w ork St eel choose Leรณn t o inst all one of it s headquart ers? The location is selected based on several factors. Firstly, the group's industrial, Network Steel, "Coated Solutions", has several industrial plants in areas near Leรณn: Cantabria, Burgos and Portugal. The proximity to these headquarters and the port of Gijรณn is a key factor. On the other hand, Leรณn and specifically Villadangos del Pรกramo, is an environment with a lot of potential development not only for our group but for the industrial sector. We share a location with other very relevant companies nationwide (Mercadona and Decathlon). Our common objective is to promote the area and the support shown by the Autonomous Community to achieve it is a guaranteed success.

Solidarity Hearts Finally, the variety of community tools to provide security in the execution of these types of projects on time and promote their development has been key to selecting it as a location. What are Net w ork St eel´ s m ain goals for t he fut ure? The group and its main diversified activity in the trading and transformation of steel, have the mission of being a benchmark in the national and European steel exploitation market. The growth we are experiencing is proof of our expansion since the creation of Network Steel in 2002. The leadership of our presidency to undertake leads us all to bet on continuous improvement and face new challenges daily. Our main focus is customer service, always bearing in mind

the positive impact on the social environment that our activity can produce and setting ourselves ambitious goals for it. What are t he reasons for you t o cont ract SOLTRA services? Our arrival at new locations always involves searching and meeting local companies with which to collaborate. SOLTRA is one of the first we found when we arrived in LeĂłn and we did not doubt to establish a direct relationship from the beginning. The agreements and services they provide us demonstrate their great professionalism, as well as their involvement in giving opportunities to groups that require support in social integration. Collaborating with SOLTRA is one of the steps in our corporate social responsibility policy that guides our culture.

Would you encourage ot her com panies to join t his iniciat ive?

Of course, without a doubt. Between all of us, we must achieve a more inclusive society, implanting from companies a corporate culture more in line with corporate social responsibility that returns to society what companies obtain from it. What is t he fut ure on Network -SOLTRA relat ionship?

We hope that SOLTRA grows with us. We count on them for this and we hope to find new ways of collaboration, as we have done until now.

we have to achiave a more inclusive community
