Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Real stories. Real impact.

The work we do every day in the pursuit of early breast cancer detection makes a difference in the lives of our patients.

This year, our Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign used the power of our patients’ voices to share the life-saving benefits of an annual mammogram. Through unscripted video interviews with patients across the country, we tapped into the real-world impact we’ve made in people’s lives.

We also shared the voices of our radiologists and center team members, broadening the reach of their invaluable knowledge and experience in breast health.

Our mission is not possible without you

As the nation’s leader in screening mammography, we’re transforming health care, an enterprise that starts with our own highly skilled and engaged team members.

Recently, we launched the Solis Scholarship Fund, which supports our commitment to investing in both our team members and the industry we serve.

The Solis Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance for students in radiologic technologist degree programs who want to save lives through a career in mammography. With mammography technologist shortages across the country, we have transformed how we recruit and develop these professionals who are exceptionally skilled in the art of patient care and the science of capturing high quality images. Watch more here.

The reflection of our culture comes back to us everyday in the interactions we have with our patients and in the feedback we receive. With one of the highest patient satisfaction scores of any company in the United States, we know that the work we do impacts not only our patients and their families, but also the towns, cities and communities that we serve.

Thank you for being a valuable member of Team Solis.

Memorial Healthcare launch slated for early 2023

We are looking forward to the February launch of our joint venture partnership with Memorial Healthcare System in South Florida, one of the largest public healthcare systems in the country and a national leader in quality care.

Solis Mammography will manage Memorial’s hospital-based breast imaging services and will expand access to high-quality, patient-focused care by opening multiple, community-based breast screening locations.

Other growth highlights:

Our Cinco Ranch center in Houston will open in November, expanding access to screening mammography for residents in West Houston. This is our 21st center in the Houston area.

∙ We launched our 33rd North Texas center in Southwest Fort Worth in the spring.

∙ Our Park Cities center in Dallas re-located to a new space in June.

∙ The screening and diagnostic center at Medical City Arlington in North Texas relocated to a new space on the hospital campus in April.

GROWTH

Research & Innovation

Current initiatives:

The American College of Radiology (ACR) Mammography Positioning Improvement Collaborative aims to reduce missed breast cancers due to suboptimal positioning. Led by Stanford University, this six-month collaborative concludes November 2022 and has led to a drastic improvement in the percent of ACR acceptable images from a baseline of 55.5% to the post-implementation rate of 85%. This success is a direct result of the commitment to excellence by our team members at Rose Medical Center in Denver and Progressive Radiology in Bel Air, Md.

The Hologic Gantry Study began in January 2022 and Solis is providing six out of the 10 patient recruiting sites. As of the end of September, we have enrolled over 1,000 patients, exceeding expectations. We continue to exceed goals on all fronts, which is a testament to our passion to bring the latest scientific advancements to our patients.

iCAD and Solis are collaborating to produce an AI solution that assesses a patient’s risk of cardiovascular disease by quantifying the presence of breast arterial calcifications detected on a mammogram. This new application could identify millions of women at risk for heart disease. Learn more.

LIVES WE’VE TOUCHED

Why does the work we do matter? By relentlessly pursuing early breast cancer detection, we add decades to our patients’ lives and make a difference in the communities we serve. To learn more about why we constantly innovate to catch cancers earlier, watch our Chief Medical Officer Dr. Chirag Parghi’s presentation “Mammography 101.”

How to be cyber smart

Information security is a responsibility that belongs to everyone. We aim to educate our team members about what they can do to protect information online.

Fostering a learning culture through Solis University

Elevating the art and science of early detection.

Our mission is to blend evidence-based practice with the creativity of our unique care environment to support the learning and growth of our team members. We have three key initiatives to accomplish our mission:

The Solis Scholarship Fund helps us develop the next generation of mammographers by providing tuition support to eligible radiologic technologist students who have a desire to specialize in breast imaging.

The Mammography Technologist Training Program, now in its second year, has launched the careers of over 60 mammography technologists and continues to be an integral part of our success.

∙ The L.E.A.D. leadership development program launched this year to help our leaders understand their own purpose and mission, live and model our Solis values, and coach and empower their teams through authentic, trusting relationships.

We will continue to grow Solis University to promote continuous learning for all our team members, helping you thrive at work, home and in your communities. Learn more at: www.solismammo.com/solis-university

Compliance team emphasizes opendoor policy

Earlier this year, we went on a “compliance road show” to tour our locations and meet many of our team members. We emphasized our opendoor policy and different ways to report compliance concerns. Since then, we’ve established a formal policy for reporting compliance concerns and conducting investigations. Review the policy here.
