Dear Moors Fans,
A warm welcome to everyone at Damson Park as we prepare for an exciting clash against AFC Fylde in the National League. To our visitors, a special welcome – we hope you enjoy your time here with us.
As we approach the festive season, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on the incredible work being done by The Solihull Moors Foundation. Their dedication to making a real difference in our community is inspiring, and their current Selection Pack Appeal is a perfect example of this commitment.
The appeal is focused on spreading joy to children in need this Christmas. I urge every one of you to contribute if you can – whether it’s by donating a selection pack or making a small financial contribution. There will be a collection point at the ground today, so let’s show the generosity that defines the Moors community.
Turning our attention to today’s game, this is a crucial fixture against a strong Fylde side. Every point matters in this competitive league, and I firmly believe in Andy Whing and his team to rise to the occasion.
Their passion, work ethic, and determination on the pitch mirror the heart and soul of this football club. Let’s ensure we do our part as fans by creating an atmosphere that inspires our players and makes Damson Park a fortress. Your voice from the stands can be the difference today.
As we celebrate the festive season, I’d like to wish all our supporters a very Merry Christmas. Thank you for your unwavering support throughout the year – it means the world to the club, the players, and the staff Here’s to an exciting match, three points, and a fantastic end to 2024! Up the Moors!
I’ve so many pictures of Joe Newton in this postion, unlike most of the others he’s taking a shot rather th crossing the ball into the box.
Mikey in the box looking to close in on a loose ball, I like the way the defender’s head is under Mikey’s thigh and I also love the facial expressions from both players in this one.
Wilko battling in the box, I always like a bit of symmetry in my pictures, usually when I do landscapes etc, not often I find much within sports photography.
Jack Stevens arial challenge, not often you see Jack in this position when he’s usually out on the left. A nice picture, I aways like it when you have out of focus players (in this case Ozzy) in the background looking on.
Whitmore after scoring the last minute equaliser, very unusual this one as I never taken a goal celebration with our own goalkeeper in the frame, that’s why this one gets the nod.
Hello and a warm welcome to all home and visiting Fylde fans to today’s game from the Solihull Moors Supporters Association.

Welcome to Damson Park, Coasters! Thank you for travelling 130 miles to be here for this afternoon’s National League fixture.
His coaching journey began at Leicester City as an assistant firstteam coach during their Premier League return. Phillips later held positions at Derby County and Stoke City, gaining valuable experience under various managerial setups.Phillips became head coach of AFC Fylde in October 2024. The National League club, struggling in 21st place at the time, selected him as their preferred candidate after a thorough search. His tenure began with an FA Cup match against Rochdale, marking a new chapter in his coaching career.
Nick Haughton joined the club in October 2018 on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee from Salford City and has become a huge fan favourite during his time at Mill Farm. The creative midfielder kick-started his career when he joined Fleetwood Town in 2014, making 40 appearances with the Cod Army before enjoying loan spells at Nantwich Town and Salford City.
Haughton was ever-present in the Coasters side that lifted the FA Trophy, even picking up the Man of the Match award at Wembley Stadium against Leyton Orient.
The creative midfielder finished as AFC Fylde’s top goalscorer following the conclusion of the 2021/22 National League North season.
AFC Fylde's badge reflects the club's identity and local heritage.
the badge features a circular design, with the club's name, "AFC Fylde," prominently displayed. It typically incorporates imagery symbolizing the local community and football tradition.
The badge uses a combination of red, white, and blue, which are the club's traditional colors. These shades are also symbolic of the Lancashire area.
Central to the badge is a shield or emblem that represents both the club's connection to its local area and its ambitions in football. It often includes nautical or regional imagery reflecting the Fylde Coast.
Over the years, AFC Fylde has refined its badge to maintain a modern and professional look, aligning with the club's aspirations to progress through the football pyramid.

Solihull Moors Women suffered defeat at home when they took on Lincoln United Manager, Joe Kirkland, made three changes from the defeat to Sutton Coldfield last weekend, with Jess Keeling making her debut alongside Georgia Neath starting and Evie Quinn playing up front. Both teams were looking to make an impression on the game. However, it was Lincoln who took the lead within the first seven minutes, courtesy of Betsy Thomas, despite a wonderful block by Zoe Millington.
It wasn’t long before two opportunities opened up down the other end minutes apart from each other. Evie Quinn, with two long range shots from outside the box just going wide almost brought Moors level.
The visitors doubled their lead as Lucy Farrow took it past Millington and slotted it into the empty net.
With the second half underway, Moors had found their footing and with a fantastic defensive touch from Daina Scott, stopped the Whites adding a third
As the half continued, Moors turned the srcrew, asserting a newfound attacking dominance on the game. Quinn came close once again, after firing a low ball into the box but it was claimed by Lincoln’s #1. Tomlins was there with a shot from outside the box which was agonisingly close to finding the top corner.
A free kick, whipped in by Quinn, squirmed its way through bodies but somehow stayed out of the net leaving everyone devastated as the final whistle blew.
Despite a very promising second half, Moors were unable to find the goals at home.
NEXT UP: Lincoln City - Sunday 5th January (H)
As the first half drew to a close, a loose ball found Alex Liddiard, who’s shot was blocked and followed up by Emily Tomlins who’s volley flashed narrowly wide.
