Crafts by Solid is managed by Solid a Belgian-run NGO present in Peru, India, and Kenya Our overarching mission is to offer help in a sustainable way, both for local communities and for the planet as a whole. In our handicraft workshops, we produce ethical, fair-trade fashion and homeware, made by local artisans. By creating work for women and giving them fair wages for the work they do, the women become empowered, more independent, and the extra income can help improve their quality of life. We also offer on-site childcare, literacy classes, life skills training, and vocational education on their handicraft skills. The profit we make from the business is put back into the communities to fund social projects like our work to aid teenage mothers. This way, the change comes from the community itself, simply by being offered a safe job with a fair salary.
Our mission extends beyond creating beautiful products; it's about making a meaningful impact on the world. As a proud member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO), we are dedicated to offering sustainable help to local communities and the planet.
