THE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD OF SOLANO COUNTY RECEIVING TWO GRANTS TOTALING NEARLY
$2 MILLION

The biggest of the two grants is a $1.44 million Helping Justice-Involved Reenter Employment grant from the California Workforce Development Board. The county Workforce Development Board will partner with four local organizations on a two-year cycle to achieve the goals of the program. The partners are Caminar, Center for Urban Excellence, Mission Samoa and The Uncuffed Project. The work also involves the Probation Department, Sheriff's Office and Child Support Services

WINGS OVER SOLANO ADDS F-22 AND MORE TO 2024 AIRSHOW PERFORMANCES

With less than a month until the United States Navy Blue Angels headline Wings Over Solano, the air show has made several additions to its line-up since January. The show is scheduled to take place over two days on March 16 and March 17 on the Travis Airforce Base flight line.

SCHOLARSHIPS OFFERED FOR THOSE WORKING ON TEACHING CREDENTIAL

The California Retired Teachers Association, Division 24, Solano County, is offering C. Shirley Michel Scholarships, each worth $4,000, to Solano County residents with baccalaureate degrees enrolled in accredited credential programs and planning to teach in the county. The 38th-year scholarships require completion of valid California Teaching Credential requirements. The application deadline is March 22.
