




PG&E
Jeremy Donnell is currently Sr. Manager of Microgrid Strategy and Implementation at PG&E. He has spent the last 16 years fighting for PG&E customers and striving to make California’s energy policy a reality. Jeremy was initially recruited to PG&E to help lead litigation seeking refunds for Californians harmed by the energy crisis precipitated by Enron and other energy market manipulators. He then lead evaluation and optimization of PG&E’s customer-oriented programs such as demand response and electric vehicles, followed by a several years designing long-term strategies to help ensure PG&E can deliver on California’s energy vision. For the last five years, Jeremy’s focus has been entirely dedicated to furthering energy resilience and customer choice for PG&E customers. Under Jeremy’s leadership, PG&E has developed an industry leading portfolio of microgrid programs serving a diverse range of customer needs.
Jeremy is a Bay Area native and has lived here virtually his entire life, growing up in Rohnert Park and having since lived in 7 of the 9 Bay Area Counties. He earned a BA in Economics and a Masters in Political Economy, both from Stanford University. Jeremy currently lives in Oakland with his wife and two children.
Allie Detrio is the Chief Strategist for Reimagine Power, a boutique microgrid and cleantech policy consulting firm headquartered in San Francisco, where she leads a team of 7 and manages a diverse portfolio of clients and projects. She has authored numerous publications and presentations on microgrids and has served as an expert witness at Public Utilities Commissions and State Legislatures on various microgrid and DER policy issues.
Allie also serves as the Senior Advisor for the Microgrid Resources Coalition, leading microgrid advocacy efforts in the West. She is the Board Treasurer and Electricity Committee Chair for the Bioenergy Association of California, as well as an active member of the California Solar & Storage Association, California Energy Storage Alliance, and other notable community energy and environmental organizations.
Allie has over 15 years of experience working in clean energy and sustainability holding a variety of positions in policy, operations, business development, and research. Allie was one of the first in the world to receive an accredited B.S. in Sustainability from the Global Institute of Sustainability at Arizona State University. She was a cohort of the Decision Center for a Desert City and has minors in Economics, History and Philosophy.
As Manager of MCE’s Strategic Initiatives Department, Alexandra fosters innovative strategies for a clean and just energy economy while catalyzing equitable economic and community benefits. Previous initiatives include: a decentralized Virtual Power Plant for low-income homeowners; electrolytic green hydrogen exploration for powerto-power (P2P) applications; off-grid portable resilience for households with electric medical needs; responsible small-scale baseload biomass energy to compliment wildfire mitigation efforts; and targeted workforce investments for green-collar job seekers with barriers to entry.
Alexandra has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cultural Anthropology and another in International Studies from Humboldt State University. She has a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies from the University of California, Berkeley where she researched community approaches to small-scale decentralized renewable energy systems for rural electrification in Nicaragua.
Gary is a Senior Energy & Water Consultant at Kaiser Permanente, an integrated healthcare system where he supports affordability and environmental stewardship goals. He works on a wide range of projects in energy and water management from distributed energy resource deployments to efficiency and conservation efforts across the country. Gary is particularly passion about leading Kaiser’s smart building analytics program.
Gary earned a BS in mechanical engineering from the United States Military Academy and MBA from the University of California – Berkeley. He is also a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and Certified Climate Change Professional (CC-P). Gary is married and the proud father of two little girls.
