ABOUT US
Our story begins in Soho, London in 2017. We struggled to find the right lighting and switches for our own renovation projects, refurbishing historical buildings in one of the capital’s most characterful neighbourhoods.
Passionate about interior design and with a firm belief in the transformative power of lighting, we saw an opportunity to create beautiful lighting, switches and sockets inspired by period properties yet adapted and technically enhanced for modern living.
Pieces that elevate and enlighten, are reliable, high performing and responsibly made; that offer more than just good looks, marrying form with function for visual comfort and pitch perfect ambiance. So we set up The Soho Lighting Company, creating superior lighting, switches and sockets enabled by innovative technology to help you bring your home to life.

When you choose The Soho Lighting Company, you are gaining the expertise of our team of professional electricians who, alongside our customer service team, aim to deliver your project with care, efficiency, and expertise. We offer wiring design, extractions from plan and lighting design scoping calls; with each project overseen by a dedicated account manager. From an initial call, through to project scoping, sample room creation, to site visits, and on-time delivery, we are on hand for the duration of your project.
We also offer the opportunity to engage with our team of lighting planners and consultants for independent expert advice and plan production. Enlisting the expertise of a specialist lighting consultant enables you to make the most of your project, however big or small; they will select lighting that will optimise design details, create ambience, and enhance how you live within each space.

This year, our continued passion for period architecture has led to an extraordinary collaboration with Historic Royal Palaces – a prestigious partnership celebrating some of Britain’s most iconic historic sites. Unveiled in the majestic setting of Kensington Palace, State Apartments, The Palaces Collection is a range of switches and sockets inspired by the opulence, artistry and heritage of royal interiors.
This special collaboration has granted us rare access to the historic sites under the care of Historic Royal Palaces, including Hampton Court Palace and Kensington Palace, as well as the exquisite private homes of Wolterton Hall in Norfolk and The Court of Noke, the elegant 18thcentury Herefordshire residence of designer and natural paint pioneer Edward Bulmer.
To step inside these extraordinary homes to showcase our collections has been a huge privilege. As custodians of the past who design for contemporary living, they exemplify the perfect balance of timeless design, rich stories and quiet elegance that our collections encapsulate.

Friends of the ocean
Fishy Filaments™ was founded in Cornwall and recycles used fishing nets and waste netting, transforming it into engineering grade filament to be used to make commercially viable products via 3D printing. Now that there is value in old netting, fishermen are no longer discarding nets into the sea and are actively retrieving old nets from our oceans. Lee Lovett says: “This fabulous sustainable concept from Fishy Filaments™, and other recycled plastic materials has enabled us to create beautiful, stylish pendants to adorn and light luxury interiors whilst helping to protect our diminishing ocean sea life.”

We have teamed up with renowned landscape architect Randle Siddeley to develop a collection of table lamps inspired by his travels to Nicaragua. Hand-made from volcanic clay by Nicaraguan artisans, each lamp is hand-painted with idiosyncratic shapes and geometric patterns in a monochromatic palette for a true statement piece.

At Soho Lighting, we offer a variety of traditional and vintagestyle, high CRI light bulbs for perfect ambience.
China White
Dimmable, warm white LED light bulbs. These matt bulbs diffuse light more evenly, which reduces glare and harsh shadows. This softer light creates an inviting atmosphere in areas like bedrooms and living spaces and makes them a good choice for reading lamps. They blend well with light fixtures for a minimalist aesthetic.
High CRI
High CRI (Colour Rendering Index) gives you accurate colour representation, enhanced visual clarity and improved aesthetics. Available in a range of sizes andshapes, the notable high CRI offers near-natural light.
Sunset
This vintage-Edison style range provides the traditional look of the Edison decorative filament bulbs with the benefits of long-life, low-energy LED technology.
Dim To Warm
These intelligent bulbs mimic the dimming behavior of traditional incandescent bulbs by changing their colour temperature as they dim. Offering versatility, they can produce bright, cooler light for tasks and activities during the day, and warm, soft light for relaxing in the evening.
