Master thesis in landscape architecture at the University of Copenhagen by Emmeline Skovbjerg & Sofie Mandrup Holm.
This thesis investigates local landscape problems of rising sea-levels, and the increasing annual precipitation that leads to the risk of flooding in the coastal landscape of Lolland, Fejø and Femø, Denmark. The thesis proposes a strategic plan for reclaiming low-lying landscapes to enhance the natural qualities, existing attractions and cultural heritage by supporting their linkage to water.
