Single Family Home
by Sofia_NC
Commonly known as the mexican petunia, Ruellia Simplex is the scientific name given to a flower that is constantly present in the natural landscapes of its neighborhood, Las Riberas. This was the source of inspiration taken when naming this house, looking to create a sort of special connection between the house and its environment, which was strongly noticed during the site visit done before the design process began..
The two- story home was designed for a single woman in her mid forties and with no children. Prioritizing the social life of the user, the 492 square meter home is equipped with a spacious garden, living rooms, two master bedrooms, and one guest room. One master bedroom being on the first floor considering the possibility of her parents moving in with her if needed in the future.
