HOW THE TOPS IN TARRANT WINNERS WERE CHOSEN: The Society Life ‘Tops in Tarrant’ medical list is a result of a website-based survey requesting suggestions for the top medical practice under each listed specialty. The 100 specialties were chosen by the Society Life editorial staff. It’s suggested that any medical practice serving the residents of Northeast Tarrant County was eligible—including, but not limited to, Society Life Magazine advertisers. If any practice was nominated for multiple specialties, it appears under only one category as decided by the Society Life staff. There are no duplicate business listings allowed—each practice may appear only once in the top 100. The final numbers are confidential and anonymous. The resulting list on pages 24-25 of this issue reflects who received the most votes from the final survey nominations. All listings are alphabetical under their respective medical specialty—they are not listed by number of votes or any other ranking.

Let’s take a moment to applaud the exceptional medical professionals and practices featured on this year’s list. Being named one of the Top 100 medical practices in Tarrant County is a true honor—earned through trust, dedication and outstanding care. Finding a great doctor who truly helps keep you and your family healthy is a gift, and if you’re searching for one now, we hope this guide leads you to the perfect fit (winners listed on page 24-25).

STRENGTHEN YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AND LIVE A FULFILLING, FAITHFUL CHRISTIAN LIFE

A Biblical Perspective On Healthcare

The Bible addresses health holistically — encompassing spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical well-being. It emphasizes the importance of trusting in God, practicing moderation, and maintaining positive relationships as contributing factors to a healthy life. The Bible also highlights wholeness — where health extends beyond the absence of illness to encompass a sense of well-being in all aspects of our life. So... what does the Bible say about healthcare?

The Bible doesn’t address healthcare directly and of course says nothing about socialized medicine or other political issues related to modern healthcare. But the Bible is definitely pro-health and encourages us to take care of our bodies. Our bodies are creations of God and, for the believer, temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19–20). Luke, who wrote over half of the New Testament, was a healthcare professional (Colossians 4:14), and Paul once advised medical treatment (1 Timothy 5:23). Seeking physical wellbeing of others (and of oneself) is good and proper.

Approaches to healthcare vary, and believers have freedom regarding the healthcare options they pursue. Some people have their healthcare plans covered by their employer. Others choose to visit holistic doctors not covered by insurance. Some people focus only on catastrophic care—making sure only that major medical expenses do not lead to bankruptcy. Many Christians also choose to participate in care cooperatives or medical cost-sharing programs where the money is pooled and then given out when a need arises in one of the members. All of these are valid options for healthcare. The goal is to

keep the body fit, as much as possible, in order to better serve and glorify the Lord. The Bible mentions various medical treatments, all of which are what we today would consider holistic. People applied bandages to wounds (Isaiah 1:6), used oil and wine as topical agents (James 5:14; Luke 10:34), and used wine for stomach ailments (1 Timothy 5:23). This doesn’t mean that modern surgery or pharmaceuticals are unbiblical, only that, when the Bible was written, those treatments had not yet been invented. There’s no reason to believe that we shouldn’t use whatever methods are at our disposal to improve or correct our health. Neither is there any biblical mandate against participating in healthcare insurance plans.

It is wise to plan for the future (Proverbs 6:6–8). “The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty” (Proverbs 27:12). This wisdom can also be applied to healthcare. Preventative healthy habits such as eating and sleeping well, drinking enough water, and doing regular exercise will steadily improve any person’s health and give him the strength to do whatever God has given him to do—be it

caring for a child, writing a book, or running a company. But if we lack wisdom and let our bodies fall into disrepair, we risk sudden sickness or injury that can quickly take us out of commission.

Every believer, no matter his or her energy level, has a purpose in God’s kingdom. Healthcare is about caring for your body, your mind, and your emotions—the whole person—so you can reach your maximum ability, whatever that is. We are all different. Some are stronger and some are weaker, but all have a function. “For the body does not consist of one member but of many” (1 Corinthians 12:14). Taking care of our health is biblical and important, for God created us as body, soul, and spirit. We must not ignore the body’s health. Healthcare, in whatever form it takes, is biblical and important, as well. Believers are called to be proactive about their health and plan ahead for any medical needs. or challenges.

In caring for our bodies with wisdom and intention, we honor our Creator, strengthen our service to others, and steward well the life and health that God has entrusted to us.

THE WIDOW CHOSE RED?

MY JOURNEY WITH JESUS, JOHN, AND ALS

Holding on to any sense of peace and normality while a family struggles with terminal illness sounds like a nearly impossible task. Author Rachel Kerr Schneider tells the story of her own personal life experience with this challenge in The Widow Chose Red? My Journey With Jesus, John and ALS.

The book tells about more than just Rachel and John’s struggles. It begins with their first encounter, engineered by his mother. Even though it was a bit of a rocky start, they grew closer, married and had two sons. John’s work took them far from their start in Dallas, but they always tried to follow God’s leading in whatever they did. Especially after their sons were born they leaned into their faith, connecting with churches and other Christians wherever they traveled.

After their move to Minneapolis, John was diagnosed with ALS, sometimes called Lou Gehrig’s disease. ALS is a progressive disease—meaning that it worsens over time. Plus, ALS is also degenerative, as it involves the loss of nerve cells and the ability to control muscles. The usual life expectancy is two to five years.

Rachel relied heavily on her faith in God to help and heal during this time. They researched protocols and treat-

ments in an effort to find something that would help. But as time went on it became clear that John would not experience healing.

At the end of most of the book’s chapters, Rachel includes what she calls “Reflections.” They consist of how she and her loved ones navigated emotional and practical challenges of their experience. She offers hard-won advice for dealing with the pain and upheaval of knowing the person you love most in the world will be leaving soon. Some topics include journaling for the release of stress, thoughts on prayers, and end of life planning. Rachel and John took their time in sharing his diagnosis with their family and friends. The couple made these decisions based on their own needs and the needs of their loved ones. The scenes about telling their sons are especially poignant.

The question of why Rachel chose to wear red to John’s funeral does not receive an answer until very late in the book. But reading through to reach this point is well worth the journey. She also shares her plans for two more books in the series about the hardships she and their sons faced after John’s death and a final entry about “second chances, unshakable faith, and the power of love that refuses to quit.”

“She stood at his service wearing red. Not in defiance, not in denial – but in love.”

Shakespeare Dallas is thrilled to announce the cast members for its 53rd annual Shakespeare in the Park festival, returning to the Samuell-Grand Amphitheater in Dallas from June 13 through July 20, 2025. This year’s productions—Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest and William Shakespeare’s Othello will run in repertory for six weeks of magical outdoor theatre. The Importance of Being Earnest, directed by Jenni Stewart, runs June 13 to July 18, Wednesday through Saturday at 8:30pm. Othello, directed by Montgomery Sutton, runs June 20 to July 20, Tuesday through Sunday at 8:30pm. This modernized take on Shakespeare’s classic tragedy places the Venetian Empire in an alternate 1990s setting. At the height of his power, Othello’s life begins to unravel at the hands of the cunning and vengeful Lago. Gates open at 7:30pm for general admission—picnicking is encouraged, and patrons may bring food, beer and wine. Each performance runs about two hours, including a 15-minute intermission. RECOAT REVOLUTION JOINS GRACE TO RESTORE MENTORSHIP HOUSING FLOORS

ReCoat Revolution North Metroplex, a family-owned hardwood floor refinishing company based in Southlake, has partnered with GRACE to restore flooring in the nonprofit’s Mentorship Housing units in Grapevine. This initiative provided valuable hands-on experience and training for ReCoat Revolution’s flooring crews while supporting a local organization dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve long-term self-sufficiency.

GRACE’s Mentorship Housing offers safe, stable residences for up to two years as participants work toward independence. These units are sponsored and maintained by local organizations such as Abiding Grace Lutheran Church and the Southlake Rotary Club.Through connections with these community partners, Joe and Jennifer Worrel—owners of ReCoat Revolution and active Southlake residents—learned of the opportunity to help. “When we heard several units were turning over to new residents, we knew we could contribute a unique service to GRACE’s mission,” shares Joe Worrel. “Our company is growing, and this collaboration allowed our team to train and refine their skills while supporting a cause that aligns with our values of serving others.”

Using their proprietary Clean ReCoat Process—a dustless, one-day method—ReCoat Revolution restored the hardwood floors without the sanding or mess of traditional refinishing. Treatment included appropriate cleaning for the historic flooring, color correction for surface damage, and a protective coating to extend floor life. “At GRACE, we believe a welcoming home is foundational in the journey toward independence,” admits Housing Manager Hannah VanHousen. “Organizations often paint and furnish our units, but seeing the floors refinished truly renews the space. They look amazing!”

This partnership truly reflects the power of collaboration between local businesses, nonprofits, and faith-based groups. Together, they’ve enhanced living spaces and empowered residents on their paths to self-sufficiency. Step aside, summer blockbusters—there’s a new superhero experience in town, and it doesn’t require popcorn or 3D glasses. Now through September 1, Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, is turning the dial on epic all the way up with “Universe of Light,” the first-ever DC-themed lantern attraction on Earth. Yes, Earth—as in world debut territory. This larger-than-life event invites you to walk directly into the pages of a comic book, but make it glow. Picture Superman’s cape billowing in silk, Batman’s silhouette looming in lights, and Wonder Woman’s shield gleaming under the Texas sky—all sculpted with ancient artistry and a bit of modern magic.

FROM LANTERN LEGENDS TO COMIC ICONS

How do you bring the Justice League to life with silk and steel? You call in the big guns—from 7,897 miles away. The masterminds behind this dazzling spectacle are none other than the renowned lantern artisans of Zigong, China, the official “Lantern Capital of the World.” With a tradition dating back over a thousand years, these craftspeople have turned the ancient art of lantern-making into superhero sorcery. Here’s how the magic happens: It starts with a sketch, turns into a hand-shaped steel frame, then gets wrapped in miles—30 miles to be exact—of vibrant silk, before being lit from within by thousands of twinkling LEDs. The result? Lanterns that soar up to 24 feet tall—radiating heroic energy and meticulous detail. Emblems shine. Eyes glow. Capes ripple. And yes, villains get their sinister shimmer, too.

ENTER DC UNIVERSE — LITERALLY Spanning 17,500 sq.ft., Universe of Light is basically ComicCon meets Wonderland. Journey through Gotham City, past shadowy haunts of Batman, into Metropolis, home of hope and high-flying feats, and across Themyscira, where Wonder Woman’s world glows with fierce grace. Whether five or 55, this immersive experience invites your inner fan to geek out—loudly. Expect interactive moments galore:

• Sit behind the wheel of the iconic Batmobile (cue brooding playlist)

• Wander through the icy echoes of Superman’s Fortress of Solitude

• Witness an epic showdown between Justice League heroes and villains (spoiler: it’s jaw-dropping)

• Snap selfies with real-life Superheroes — cape, tights, and all!

A FEW SUPER STATS — LET’S BREAK IT DOWN IN SUPERHERO-WORTHY NUMBERS:

• 1,000 glowing lanterns – From DC icons to props and set pieces

• 200,000 pounds of steel – Sculpted into superhero form

• 30 miles of silk – More than enough to lasso the truth

• 160 artisans – Master crafters behind every illuminated detail

• 7,897 miles traveled – Because heroism knows no borders!

AN EVENT THAT SHINES FOR EVERYONE

Whether you’re a longtime comic fan, an art aficionado, or just looking for the coolest summer photo op, Universe of Light checks all the boxes. It’s family-friendly, date-night worthy, and designed to dazzle at every turn. And while the heroes may be larger than life, the ticket process is down to earth.

In a world overflowing with CGI and screen time, Universe of Light reminds us what real-life wonder looks like— glowing silk capes, steel-forged muscles, and light dancing off of every carefully crafted detail. It’s artistry. It’s nostalgia. It’s full-on fantasy. And it’s only at the Gaylord Texan Resort this summer. So grab your camera, bring your sense of awe, and prepare to walk (and glow) among legends. Because inside of this universe… you get to be the hero!

THE VOTING PROCESS

The medical practices listed here are the result of our website-based survey requesting votes for the top local leaders in 100 common medical specialties. These 100 specialties were hand selected by the Society Life editorial staff and voting took place online on our website. It was suggested that any medical practice or facility serving residents of Northeast Tarrant was eligible—including, but not limited to, magazine advertisers. If any medical practice or facility was nominated for multiple specialties, it will only appear once in the Top 100. The list includes only the Top nomination under each specialty and all of the winner’s listings are in alphabetical order by their respective specialty nomination, not in any order of ranking.

GREG L. GIST DDS

OWNER / FOUNDER

CARTER HAYES DDS PARTNER

In a world where healthcare is increasingly shaped by corporate mandates and insurance shortcuts — Gist & Hayes Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry in Southlake stands apart by honoring patient relationships and clinical excellence. With over 40 years of experience, Dr. Greg Gist has built a “Legacy Practice” defined by integrity, personal care, and exceptional results. Joined by Dr. Carter Hayes, the team continues to set the gold standard for modern dentistry — where patients are family and the craft is world-class.

Dentistry for the Truly Quality-Conscious

Recently, at the 2024 International Restorative and Cosmetic Dental Symposium, hosted by renowned dentists Dr. Bill Strupp and Dr. Michael Brumm of Clearwater, Florida, Dr. Strupp told a crowd of over 600 dentists—and thousands more online—that one of the greatest restorative and cosmetic dental practitioners in the world was in the room: Dr. Greg Gist of Southlake, Texas. Now 80, Dr. Strupp called Dr. Gist his most accomplished student in 50+ years of post-graduate prosthetic training and even refers his own patients to Gist & Hayes when they relocate west. At the very same conference, Dr. Steven Rasner, an implant oral surgeon from Philadelphia, praised Drs. Gist and Hayes as having one of the finest restorative practices in the country—calling Texas lucky to have them in their backyard. So yes, the word is out. In an age where healthcare is increasingly shaped by corporate and insurance-driven mediocrity, Gist & Hayes Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry stands as a rare, legacy-level practice for the truly quality-conscious patient.

Dr. Gist’s 42-Year Legacy

Dr. Gist has been in private practice at the same location here in North Texas for over 42 years. In fact Dr. Gist was the first Dentist in Southlake back in 1984. He designed the very first logo for the Chamber of Commerce and that logo was then adopted by City of Southlake in 1984 and when many asked why he would start a practice in an area of less than 600 people, that had more cows and horses than people, and was not even recognized as a ‘legal township’ by the state of Texas at the time. Dr. Gist explains, “Southlake was the country setting that I desired to raise my sons in, and it had the potential to grow into something very special—and grow it did!”

Protecting the Sacred Doctor-Patient Bond

Dr. Gist and his practice partner, Dr. Carter Hayes, care for patients from across the U.S. and beyond—offering a rare standard of care that’s increasingly hard to find. In a marketplace crowded with mediocrity, theirs is a rare and truly exceptional practice—free from any corporate insurance models or private equity ownership. Here, the focus is never on meeting arbitrary benchmarks or public health quotas, but solely on the patient. As Dr. Gist describes, it’s the “unholy alliance” of third-party interference that threatens the sacred doctor-patient relationship— and one that has no place in their practice.

Strong Foundation of Excellence

This practice offers some of the finest restorative and cosmetic dental care in the world, supported by a dedicated Dental Hygiene Department that provides the aggressive preventive care needed to

A Legacy of Excellence:

GENERATIONS

help patients maintain their natural teeth for a lifetime—and to preserve the integrity of the beautiful restorative and cosmetic work that’s completed here. As Dr. Gist explains, “Preventive care and periodontal health are the foundation of this practice. The infection-free health of the biology is the base upon which world-class restorative care’s built. That’s our focus everyday.”

Commitment to Excellence and Continuity

This is an adult-focused, non–insurance-driven, cosmetic and restorative private practice that has set the bar for quality of care for over 40 years. Now, after four decades in practice, Dr. Gist is gradually reducing his clinical hours—but not without ensuring that Dr. Carter Hayes replicates his clinical skills, protocols, and techniques with precision to maintain the same exceptional standards. While retirement isn’t currently in the picture, Dr. Gist emphasizes that protecting and continuing this “Legacy Practice” of clinical excellence is paramount. “This practice is bigger than me,” he says. “Patients everywhere deserve the option of receiving the highest level of care.”

Transformative Dentistry + Team Excellence

Gist & Hayes also restore edentulous patients using ‘All-On’ implant-retained titanium/zirconia dentures—offering a life-changing solution for those who have lost their teeth. These complex cases provide denture patients with a higher level of function, aesthetics and comfort—almost like getting their natural teeth back. Dr. Hayes admits, “Our clinical team is really our secret weapon of

excellence—these ladies are simply amazing. What Dr. Gist has built here in Southlake is truly the best in the world! I am honored to carry this philosophy forward into the future. I am fully committed to the same clinical protocols and philosophy I have learned directly from Dr. Gist, Dr. Strupp, and others over the past 10 years in dentistry. I see the immense value in Dr. Gist’s approach and witness the sincere appreciation our patients have for our team. Saving your teeth for a lifetime is priceless, and I thank God for this opportunity. I am dedicated to continuing the legacy of excellence that Dr. Gist has created.”

Uncompromising Dental Care

To help all patients achieve the smile of their dreams, Gist & Hayes offers flexible financial options—including prepayment discounts, convenient bank financing, and easy payment plans—making world-class care more accessible. With the finest in laboratory science, premium materials, and a seasoned clinical team known for their exceptional skill and precision, this privately owned practice is truly in a league of their own. New patients are always invited to experience the difference with a no-charge complimentary consultation—an opportunity to meet the team and explore your personalized approach to care. For those who demand the very best in dental care—where clinical mastery meets personalized attention at the intersection of uncompromising quality—Gist & Hayes is the definitive choice, setting unmatched standards of excellence and a legacy that will endure for generations to come.

FARRAH CHRISTIAN, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

CERTIFIED FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER / WEIGHT LOSS EXPERT

The Maverick Mindset

Farrah Christian didn’t set out to reinvent the wellness wheel—she lived it. After over 14 years of working in ICUs and dialysis units, face-to-face with the hardest edges of illness, she carried those lessons home. But it was her own personal health battle—struggling with her own weight well into adulthood—that sparked her deeper mission. Losing over 60 pounds with the right medical support opened her eyes to the missing link in modern healthcare—access. Determined to dismantle barriers around medications like Wegovy and create a smarter, compassionate path to wellness, Farrah founded Maverick Medical Care. More than a telehealth clinic, Maverick is a purpose-driven platform that’s born from lived experience. “We’re not just handing out advice,” she admits. “We are meeting people wherever they are, building holistic plans with real medical backing and heart.” Forget the tired “eat less, move more” script—Maverick speaks to what really works. Personalized care from an expert team that walks with you every step of the way.

Comprehensive Precision from Day One

Your journey at Maverick begins with a deep, thoughtful dive into your health history. This isn’t checkbox medicine—it’s customized detective work. Through comprehensive lab work and guided conversation, Farrah and her team map out the real story behind your symptoms. From hormone panels and metabolic markers to lifestyle patterns and past setbacks, every detail fuels a smarter plan. The result? A personalized strategy that touches on four pillars of lasting wellness—food, movement, sleep, mental clarity.

Beyond the Scale

Yes, Maverick specializes in weight loss—but forget cookie-cutter meal plans and shame-based coaching. Maverick is where science meets soul. Maverick approaches weight from every angle: hormones, mindset, metabolism, and biology. FDA-approved medications—Wegovy, Saxenda, Qsymia, Contrave—are used when appropriate, with careful, ongoing monitoring. But just as important is the environment here—supportive, flexible, and judgment-free. It’s real medicine, for real people, with real results.

Evidence-Based Nutrition

At Maverick Medical Care, nutrition is never about restriction—it’s about precision. Each patient gets a tailored nutrition plan built around their unique hormonal profile, digestive health, inflammation levels, and lifestyle rhythm. Think anti-inflammatory food strategies, personalized macro and micronutrient guidance, supplement support, and tools for managing cravings and emotional eating. Even your grocery list and the portion tips are practical and doable. Best of all,

From Patient to Pioneer:

these plans evolve with you—whether you’re chasing performance gains or simply want to feel better in your skin, the roadmap adapts as you do.

Unlocking Wellness

Hormones don’t just influence your weight—they affect mood, sleep, energy, and so much more. That’s where Maverick’s Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) shines. Based on Farrah’s signature GLOW protocol, this isn’t a quick fix—it’s a whole-body recalibration. Programs include gut renewal plus hormone optimization, stress reduction, and sustainable lifestyle changes. With labs guiding every personal adjustment—looking at sex hormones, thyroid, stress levels, and vitamin D—BHRT becomes root-cause medicine. Designed to relieve fatigue, brain fog, hot flashes, low libido, insomnia, and more, it’s about giving your body the support it needs to thrive—long-term.

Boosting Vitality

As a powerful bonus to their lineup, Maverick also offers NAD+ therapy—a rejuvenation boost that’s quickly gaining traction for good reason. These quick injections support everything from DNA repair and metabolic health to improved skin and sharper mental focus. Think of it as a biochemical tune-up designed to keep you running at your best—inside and out.

The Maverick Experience

Everything at Maverick Medical Care is built for accessibility, flexibility, and care that fits real life.

Appointments happen over Zoom, with flexible scheduling that works around you. Pre-visit labs, transparent pricing (often under $350/month), and insurance or FSA/HSA acceptance make it all straightforward. No BMI games, no red tape— just honest, expert support. Even breastfeeding individuals are offered safe, postpartum-friendly treatment options, along with dietary and lifestyle support—since medications can’t be prescribed during this time. And once goals are met? Patients move into tailored maintenance plans that keep the momentum going.

Powerful Proof

Scroll through the testimonials and before-andafter photo gallery, and the results truly speak for themselves. One patient dropped 20 pounds in under two months. Another, at 58, lost 56 pounds in six months. But these aren’t just numbers— they’re proof of what’s possible when science, support, and soul collide. In a world overflowing with diet fads and hormone hype, Maverick stands grounded in evidence—and delivers.

COVER STORY

In a world of quick fixes and half-hearted solutions, it’s easy to feel like lasting answers don’t exist — especially when it comes to something as personal and life-altering as living with erectile dysfunction.

TOPS WINNER FOR SEXUAL WELLNESS/ REJUVENATION

Sexual Wellness Centers of Texas

But one Texas doctor is rewriting the narrative, not with pills or gimmicks, but with patented protocols that actually work. Meet Jeff Nuziard, Ph.D., founder of the Sexual Wellness Centers of Texas, who is curing ED — not just treating it — and whose work is quickly transforming lives and redefining what’s possible for millions of men. With two U.S. patents, over 3,000 men treated, and a staggering 97.2% success rate, this is more than medicine — it’s a revolution.

Personal Crisis to Clinical Breakthrough

Before he was known as the man curing ED, Jeff Nuziard, PhD was just a 40-year-old guy in great shape—until he wasn’t. Seemingly out of nowhere, he suddenly found himself unable to perform sexually. The physical symptoms were frustrating enough, but the emotional toll was worse. “I felt like I should turn in my man card,” he says candidly. “It was humiliating.” Rather than accept a diminished quality of life or rely on temporary fixes, Dr. Nuziard took action. As a scientist and researcher, he began investigating the underlying causes of erectile dysfunction and exploring any regenerative therapies that could truly heal—not just mask the problem. What followed was his 20-year journey of clinical studies, scientific testing, and collaboration with a team of medical doctors and other PhDs. The result? REGENmax ® Protocol—a multi-modality, non-invasive treatment that reverses erectile dysfunction with real, measurable, long-lasting results.

A True Cure, Not a Crutch

At the core of REGENmax is the idea that the body, when given the right tools, can heal itself. Combining cutting-edge laser and shockwave technology, the protocol improves blood flow, stimulates tissue regeneration, and then restores function—without surgery, without drugs, and without downtime. “Our bodies are designed to regenerate,” explains Dr. Nuziard. “I just found a way to activate that ability in a very targeted, effective way.” With over 3,000 patients successfully treated and formal clinical studies showing a 97.2% reversal rate, REGENmax ® isn’t just promising—it’s proven. In a 250-patient study, 243 experienced full reversal of ED within one year. That level of efficacy is virtually unheard of in men’s health,—especially when compared to common options like pills (which average only 50–60% effectiveness) or invasive procedures that don’t address root causes.

2nd Patent—and a Powerful New Device

Building on the success of the original protocol, Dr. Nuziard recently secured his second U.S. patent—this time for a new radio frequencybased protocol that delivers the same results through a different energy modality. Developed in partnership with InMode—a global leader in medical technology—this new, next-generation treatment offers physicians and clinics an even more accessible, scalable solution for ED. “This new device allows us to do everything we did with the laser, just using radio frequency,” Dr. Nuziard notes. “And our efficacy hasn’t dropped— it’s still at 97.2%.” Now offering two patented treatment options, SWC is licensing these ED protocols to physicians across the country— expanding access to real, regenerative ED care

Curing ED, Changing Lives:

on a global scale. For patients and providers alike, this isn’t just innovation—it’s liberation.

What Patients Are Saying

The feedback speaks volumes. Patients report not only physical improvements, but emotional and relational breakthroughs. “At 59, I perform like I’m in my 20s,” one patient wrote. “It’s the best I’ve felt in years.” Another shared: “I came in feeling broken and I left with my confidence back. My wife and I are closer than ever.” It’s no wonder that even spouses of patients are becoming clients now themselves. As one woman put it, “After seeing the change in my husband, I knew I wanted to feel that good, too.”

People Behind the Protocol

The success of Sexual Wellness Centers of Texas isn’t just rooted in cutting-edge technology—it’s powered by a team of compassionate, highly skilled medical professionals. At the helm is Dr. Alison Garza, a board certified family medicine physician who ensures each patented protocol is delivered with precision and care. Working alongside her is Laura Anderson, FNP-C, a board certified nurse practitioner with nearly 20 years of experience. Together with founder and CEO Jeff Nuziard, PhD, this expert team is committed to guiding their patients through a transformative journey of restored intimacy, renewed energy, and total well-being. No matter your age or stage of life, the Sexual Wellness Centers of Texas team can help you feel like yourself again and regain your confidence.

A Whole-Body, Whole-Life Approach

While REGENmax® is SWC’s hallmark therapy, the clinic offers a menu of regenerative services to boost vitality, confidence, and well-being in both men and women. From hormone therapy and weight loss to vaginal rejuvenation, and Peyronie’s disease treatment, or HEshot® and SHEshot® —each plan begins with a physical exam and bloodwork to create a personalized approach. “Sexual wellness is about more than one area,” says Dr. Nuziard. “It’s your energy, your hormones, confidence, and relationships— and we treat it that way.”

Healing with Integrity, Dignity, Discretion

At the Sexual Wellness Centers of Texas, healing begins with empathy. The team knows firsthand how isolating and defeating ED and other sexual health issues can feel. That’s why every patient is treated with dignity, discretion, and compassion from the moment they walk through the door. “Our mission is simple,” shares Dr. Garza. “We help people feel like themselves again—maybe even better than ever.”

Get Your Life Back

Take the first step toward reclaiming confidence and revitalizing intimate health with a private consultation at the Sexual Wellness Centers of Texas in Colleyville. Whether you’re navigating the changes of aging or facing challenges, you’re never too young—or too old—for a vibrant and fulfilling sex life. Dr. Steven Branberg (aka Dr. B)

With a passion for precision and patient comfort, Dr. Branberg stands out in the implant world. A University of California–Irvine graduate, he earned both his DDS and his Prosthodontic certificate from University of Southern California School of Dentistry. Since that time, he’s led predoctoral clinics and delivered lectures to peers on full-mouth restorations. What truly sets him apart? Dr. Branberg personally performs every phase—from the implant placement under anesthesia (administered by an in-office anesthesiologist) to crafting the final restoration—saving patients time and multiple appointments. Outside of the clinic, he’s a Dallas Cowboys fan, grill master, and devoted husband—and brings that same warmth and dedication to patient care.

DFW Dental Implant Center Advantage

The DFW Dental Implant Center offers a distinct advantage that sets it apart in both care and outcomes. Under the expert leadership of Dr. Steven Branberg, a full team—including an anesthesiologist and on-site lab technician— works seamlessly together to provide a truly patient-centered experience. Transparency is a cornerstone of their approach, with all phases of treatment—from consultation and imaging to surgery, temporary and/or permanent restorations, and follow-up checkups—clearly outlined with no hidden costs. Advanced technology is integral at every stage, including 3D CT scans and in-office fabrication by Certified Dental Technicians—ensuring precision, safety, and incredibly lifelike results. What truly makes the experience exceptional is Dr. Branberg’s commitment to personalized attention. He takes the time to build trust, answer questions, and ensure each patient feels fully informed and comfortable throughout their journey.

All-on-4 Transformations

All-on-4® is a streamlined, graft-free dental implant solution that uses just four implants to support an entire arch of teeth—upper or lower. Two implants are placed straight in the front jawbone (where bone is naturally denser), and two are strategically tilted (up to 45°) in the back to optimize support and avoid anatomical structures. After surgery, patients receive a fixed temporary bridge the same day—no removable dentures, no long wait. Months later, a durable, permanent bridge—either solid zirconia or zirconia reinforced with Trilor for added comfort—is fitted, delivering both a natural looking and feeling smile that functions like real teeth. The benefits of the All-on-4 treatment are hard to ignore. Patients can eat and speak with confidence, and their loved ones often can’t tell the teeth are implants at all. The procedure is graft-free, eliminating the time, cost,

The All-on-4 Revolution:

ON THE FAST TRACK TO YOUR

and discomfort typically associated with bone grafting. It’s also a durable, long-term solution that doesn’t involve the hassle of shifting dentures or nightly soaking routines. Beyond functionality, All-on-4 also supports jawbone preservation and facial aesthetics, helping to prevent the “sunken” look that often follows tooth loss.

A Day of Transformation

On your day of transformation, here’s what you can expect from your personalized treatment plan. It all begins with a free consultation, where you’ll receive a thorough exam, X-rays, and a transparent cost overview—no hidden fees. Next comes digital treatment planning, as Dr. Branberg uses advanced 3D CT imaging and Ez3D-i software to design your implants and temporary teeth placement with pinpoint precision. During surgery, which takes place in a single visit under general anesthesia, Dr. Branberg performs any necessary extractions, places four implants using surgical guides, and fits a same-day temporary bridge—all in one seamless session. Afterward, you’ll rest at home and stick to soft foods for two to three months as your implants integrate with the jawbone. Follow-up checkups ensure everything’s healing smoothly and are provided at no additional cost. Finally, once the healing process is complete— usually within three to four months—your custom-crafted permanent implant bridge is securely attached. Your final end result is a beautiful, comfortable, and fully functional smile that’s designed to last a lifetime.

Real Smiles, Real Stories

Patients rave about their experience with Dr. Branberg and his team, often highlighting not just the results, but the compassionate care they received along the way. One patient shared, “Dr. Branberg and staff have great customer service! They did a fabulous job on my implant!” Another added, “I wish I had gone here from the start… I never felt uncomfortable at any time.” These are more than just testimonials— they reflect true transformations in confidence, comfort, and overall quality of life.

The Ideal All-on-4 Candidate

At this point you might be asking yourself, “Am I a candidate for All-on-4?” It’s ideal for those missing multiple teeth or those struggling with traditional dentures. All-on-4 offers a fixed, permanent alternative that’s as close to natural teeth as possible. With fewer implants, no bone grafts, and a shorter treatment window, it makes restoring a full smile more accessible than ever.

Rediscover Your Smile

There’s no need to wait for bone grafts, have ill-fitting dentures, or multiple surgeries. With Dr. Branberg and the All-on-4 system, you can enjoy a full, healthy smile in just one surgery and leave with teeth that look, feel and function like your own. To get started on your transformation, schedule a no-cost consultation at The DFW Dental Implant Center in Colleyville. After All-on-4, getting your life and confidence back might be just a day away.

HOW GUNS & HOSES NORTH TEXAS CHAMPIONS FALLEN HEROES

Every year in North Texas, the “Battle of the Badges” brings together two of the most respected forces in the community — police officers and firefighters — not in crisis, but in camaraderie. Through adrenaline-pumping boxing matches and high-spirited golf tournaments, these first responders trade sirens for scorecards and gloves for goodwill, all in support of the Guns & Hoses Foundation of North Texas. These aren’t just sporting events—they’re powerful acts of tribute, raising critical funds for the families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Whether in the ring or on the green, every punch and every putt carries a message — we remember, we honor, and we give back.

ANSWERING THE CALL

SL

greater good

ON ANY GIVEN MORNING IN NORTH TEXAS, A MOTHER MIGHT OPEN A LETTER IN WHICH THE ONLY WORD THAT TRULY MATTERS IS “AID.” OR, A SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT MIGHT GLANCE AT HER CERTIFICATE AND RECOGNIZE IT WAS ISSUED IN THE NAME OF A PARENT WHO STOOD TALL IN UNIFORM—A UNIFORM NOW ONLY REMEMBERED. FOR OVER TWO DECADES, THE GUNS & HOSES FOUNDATION OF NORTH TEXAS HAS WOVEN PURPOSE INTO THESE MOMENTS OF LOSS, LOSS THAT DEMANDS MORE THAN EMPTY CONDOLENCES.

GUNS AND HOSES FOUNDATION OF NORTH TEXAS

Guns and Hoses Foundation of North Texas is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to providing immediate financial assistance to the families of fallen police officers and firefighters lost in the line of duty. Guns and Hoses Foundation of North Texas contributes to children’s charities supported by police and fire departments. The organization provides immediate assistance to 19 counties within North Texas. The core purpose of the Guns and Hoses Foundation of North Texas is to show respect and gratitude for the police officers and firefighters lost in the line of duty. To them, these people are true heroes who deserve to be honored for their work and sacrifice — for those who went before.

Legacy Born of Resolve

Founded in 2002, the Guns and Hoses Foundation of North Texas is a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization established with a solemn mission—to help provide immediate financial assistance to families of police officers and firefighters who die in the line of duty. Its name—“Guns and Hoses”— is deliberately inclusive. It’s intended to honor the union of both the policing (aka “Guns”) and firefighting (aka “Hoses”) professions as equal partners in public service and sacrifice.

From its inception, the Foundation set its sights on one clear, urgent purpose—when tragedy strikes, support must come swiftly so families aren’t left wondering how to pay tomorrow’s bills. Since 2002, they have responded to 59 families across 19 counties in North Texas—spanning Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Jones, Kaufman, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell, Tarrant, Taylor, and Wise. That’s a service area encompassing more than 20,000

sworn officers and firefighters, paid and volunteer—a network as vast as it is vital.

Deepening Impact

While emergency financial assistance remains their core, Guns & Hoses doesn’t stop there. Their Annual Report for 2022–2023 reveals two complementary outreach priorities. Holiday gifts for dependent children of fallen first responders—ensuring joy even in the shadow of grief, and then scholarships honoring high school seniors

whose parent made the ultimate sacrifice. From Christmas breakfasts to caps and gowns, efforts uplift rather than console— and speak more to resilience than pity.

How the System Works

At the heart of the operation is a simple yet powerful philosophy to act fast and respectfully. When tragedy strikes, Guns & Hoses turns on its network—drawing funding from both individuals and corporate donors. Every donation is fully tax deductible, empowering generous support. Their “Count On Me” membership program lets supporters commit at a level matching their own means—Lieutenant ($50/yr), Captain ($100), or Chief ($250)— with perks ranging from decals, challenge coins, exclusive t-shirts, event early access, and personalized certificates or plaques. Sponsors can directly connect to purpose, forging deeper ties and amplifying visibility through packages tailored to their brand and community presence.

Behind the Curtain: Making It Happen

Once a tragedy occurs, a robust system kicks in. Although individual staff details aren’t widely publicized, the nonprofit organization’s picture comes into clearer focus through its Board of Directors and Executive Team. A “guided” leadership model, supplemented by an Honorary Board, ensures both day-to-day execution and long-term vision are handled with accountability and passion. Being rooted in first-responder needs, their leadership draws from those with firsthand knowledge—either in uniform or with a deep understanding of sacrifice. This grounding gives every decision, every event, and every dollar an immediacy born of respect and urgency.

Training, Teamwork, and Tough Bouts

More than checks and ceremonies, Guns & Hoses believes in community building— and what better stage than the ring? Their annual boxing tournament brings together uniformed officers and firefighters across North Texas to spar not in rivalry, but in unity. Participation is open to certified peace officers, firefighters, and volunteer firefighters, amateurs only—those who’ve never competed for money. After applying (online applications are accepted typically May through June), participants face skill evaluations in Garland’s Police boxing gym. Boxers engage in short, 1-minute rounds with 16 oz. gloves. All matches are USA

Boxing–sanctioned—and both medals and memories become tokens of camaraderie, not conquest. The lineup from the past teams is impressive, featuring over two dozen participants across cities like Garland, Dallas, Mesquite, Fort Worth, and more. They call it boxing, but it feels more like bridging—across service roles, agencies, jurisdictions, and city lines.

Teeing Off With Purpose

Each spring, the Foundation transitions from gloves to golf clubs. Their 20th Annual Guns & Hoses Golf Tournament was held on May 13, 2024, at Firewheel Golf Park in Garland—showing a consistent record of community convergence. The 2025 return is billed as the 8th Annual Tarrant County “Remember the Fallen” Tournament, set for Monday, September 22, 2025, co-hosted with the Grand Prairie Police Department and Sergeant Gregory L. Hunter Memorial Foundation. This event does more than tee off—it honors specific heroes—Sergeant Hunter (a 30-year veteran tragically ambushed in 2004), Officer Lyndon King (killed in a crash in 1982), Officer Albert Castañeda (struck in 2019), Officer Andrew MacDonald (COVID-19 in 2021), and Officer Brandon Tsai (killed in pursuit in 2022). Their names will inspire and guide each swing, each prayer, and each donation made.

The Next Season of Solidarity

What lies ahead for Guns & Hoses? The calendar promises boxing, golf, dinners, and donor-appreciation events. Here’s what to watch for:

• May throughout June 2025: The boxing applications open, followed by the July evaluations and then fall bouts.

• September 22, 2025: The 8th Annual Tarrant County “Remember the Fallen” Golf Tournament, honoring heroes from across local agencies.

• Q4 2025/Winter: Likely holiday gift deliveries and scholarship awards—all moments of kindness that mean the world to a grieving child.

They call on sponsors and volunteers to lean in, so these events feel less transactional and more communal.

Behind Every Logo, a Family

What makes Guns and Hoses unique isn’t the gloves, the clubs, or even the tax

deductibility. It’s the bedrock principle of immediate response with enduring compassion. Consider a family who lost a parent— as the trunk of their emotional tree shudders, too often financial uncertainties get overlooked. A utility bill arrives. Thanksgiving looms. Delivering a gift, scholarship, or an envelope of aid during that first wave of grief doesn’t erase pain—but it tells a family: you're not alone, someone stands with you, and your community remembers.

Deeper Reflection, Wider Significance

Institutionally, Guns & Hoses taps into a profound cultural current—the concept of reciprocity in public service. Society invests trust, training, and purpose in our first responders—when that trust demands the ultimate price, justice isn’t just a trial—it’s support. The Foundation converts collective grief into collective responsibility. Equally compelling is how rituals of remembrance— boxing tournaments, golf outings—serve a therapeutic role. These events aren’t just passive memorials. They're active gatherings that reinforce identity and a shared purpose among men and women who carry trauma and pride. In stepping into the ring, participants aren’t punching—they are affirming a bond. As North Texas evolves— expanding suburbs, surging responsibilities, increasing dangers—the toll on our civil servants grows steeper. Guns & Hoses is neither an isolated charity nor a brief reaction to headlines—but rather, a lasting institution rooted in respect, rapid response, and relational solidarity.

A Deeper Reflection

Drive past Garland in December, and you might see volunteers wrapping gifts for children whose father never came home. Or wander a golf club green in May and witness a foursome chatting about Officer King or Sergeant Hunter. We live in an age where symbols matter. Guns and Hoses Foundation of North Texas turns every handshake, every swing, every dollar into a symbol of something larger. It’s grit, remembrance, and community for those who paid ultimate price. For first responders in mid-Texas—and the families they leave behind—this isn’t just mere charity. It’s a promise kept that the uniform, the sacrifice, and the memory never vanish. And if you choose to join them, you become part of a legacy that echoes beyond any single act— because honor, like service, endures.

action during the twice-daily cattle drive down Exchange Avenue, or snap portraits near the rustic brick walls, old saloons, and the legendary Stockyards Station. Every corner here tells a story—perfect for travel bloggers, western-themed shoots, and nostalgic captures.

Fort Worth Water Gardens | A short walk from Downtown, the Fort Worth Water Gardens offer a modern and artistic contrast to the city’s western roots. Designed by renowned architects Philip Johnson and John Burgee in 1974, this modernist masterpiece features walkways, pools, terraces, and a central plaza that serve as perfect spaces for capturing memorable moments. The water features include three main fountains, cascading waterfalls, a dancing pool, a quiet pool surrounded by gorgeous cypress trees, an active pool and geometric terracing that creates bold, abstract photo compositions. The active pool with its descending steps is the most photographed spot, but don’t skip the serene Reflection Pool for peaceful, minimalist shots. Fall is the best time to visit the garden as autumn hues promise golden fall foliage shots.

HISTORIC BUILDINGS AND STUNNING MUSEUMS

Tarrant County Courthouse | Sitting proudly at the north end of Main Street, the Tarrant County Courthouse, with its Victorian-era’s unique architecture and classic clock tower, is an elegant backdrop for historical or formalthemed photos. Built from pink Texas granite in the late 1800s, it’s often compared to the Texas Capitol in Austin. Its dramatic dome, classical

columns, and detailed carvings make it a must for architecture buffs. From its steps or grounds, you can photograph the building itself or use it as part of a broader cityscape. For the best view, stand at the intersection of Main and Weatherford to capture the grandeur of the courthouse with the cityscape behind it.

Fort Worth Convention Center | No photo tour here is complete without capturing the city’s Convention Center with unique curves, or the lit-up buildings along Main Street, shining brilliantly at dusk and during festivals. Located just south of Sundance Square, the Fort Worth Convention Center might surprise you. Modern lines, sleek glass panels, and unique arching entryways create excellent opportunities for dramatic and symmetrical photos. It’s a great spot to experiment with lighting, reflections, and leading lines.

Foundry District | Tucked between the Cultural District and West 7th, the Foundry District is Fort Worth’s artistic rebel. This former industrial zone has blossomed into Texas’s largest outdoor art gallery, featuring vibrant murals, bold street art, quirky sculptures, and trendy warehouse-style buildings. Inspiration Alley mural corridor is a popular hotspot for fashion shoots, influencer photos, and creative content. This area thrives with small businesses, momand-pop shops, vintage record stores, and distinctive boutiques. After elevating your Instagram feed with chic photos, be sure to grab some delicious bites and your favorite brew on the outdoor patio of Maple Branch Brewing Company, yet another Instagramable spot within the district.

Fort Worth Cultural District | This is a must-visit for anyone seeking to blend art, nature, and architecture into photos. Home to five world-renowned, magnificently designed museums, the Fort Worth Botanic Garden and Fort Worth Zoo, this artistic district is a dream destination for photography. You’ll find some of the most photogenic museums in the state, including Modern Art Museum (with a sleek reflecting pool), Kimbell Art Museum (famed for its Louis Kahn design), and Amon Carter Museum of American Art. Wide-open space, clean lines, and outdoor sculptures make it a living gallery.

Marine Creek Lake | This 250-acre no-wake lake delivers if you’re craving peaceful lake views without leaving the city. Its calm waters make it a perfect spot for swimming, kayaking, rowing, canoeing, sailing and fishing. Hidden gem with walking trails, fishing docks, and expansive water that reflects the sky during golden hour. Perfect for fitness-themed shoots, moody sunset portraits, or tranquil nature photos—a breath of fresh air away from crowds and city life.

Fort Worth Botanic Garden | Botanical gardens are undoubtedly one of the most photogenic places, and Fort Worth Botanic Garden is no exception. From the Japanese Garden’s koi ponds and arched bridges to the Rose Garden’s blooming terraces and Conservatory’s 2500 species of exotic plants, every area is bursting with color and texture. With its specialty gardens showcasing tons of wildflowers, tranquil ponds, and tropical displays, this sprawling 120-acre oasis is a dreamscape for nature lovers. It’s a photographer’s paradise in every season—especially spring and fall. Be sure to check out the complete photography policies before visiting.

Tandy Hills Natural Area | Located just minutes from downtown, Tandy Hills is a natural prairie preserve that gives off open-range vibes. With over 900 native plant species and a natural landscape that highlights the region’s beauty, this 160-acre park is a hidden gem. Wildflowers bloom in spring, grasses sway in wind, and the view of Fort Wort’s skyline in the distance makes it a killer backdrop for landscapes and portraits. Perfect for golden hour or sunrise.

OTHER PLACES TO TAKE PICTURES IN THE DFW METROPLEX

Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden | Just a 45-minute drive from Fort Worth, the Dallas Arboretum is a lush wonderland that changes with seasons. With over 66 acres of themed gardens overlooking White Rock Lake, this spot offers beauty year-round. You’ll find tulips in the spring, pumpkins in the fall, and dazzling light displays in the winter. It’s a fairytale setting!

Deep Ellum (Dallas) | Known for its street art, music scene, and funky vibe, Deep Ellum is an explosion of color and creativity. Every alley, brick wall, and storefront is covered in murals or graffiti art. It’s one of the most photographed neighborhoods in Dallas—popular for edgy fashion shoots, lifestyle bloggers, or a bold, urban aesthetic.

LIGHTING THE SKY FOR THE 4TH OF JULY

Celebrate Independence Day with Fireworks Shows All Around Northeast Tarrant

John Adams, one of the Founding Fathers and our second president, hoped that Americans would commemorate Independence Day with grand festivities, including fireworks and bonfires. Here in Northeast Tarrant County, that patriotic spirit is alive and well. Towns across the area go all out with vibrant displays, festive music, family-friendly fun, and, of course, those breathtaking bursts of color that make us all stop and say “ooh” and “ahh.” Whether you're staking out a prime spot on a grassy hill, enjoying the festivities at a local park, or watching from the bed of a pickup truck with your favorite people, there's no shortage of ways to celebrate America's birthday. DC UNIVERSE OF LIGHT IMMERSIVE COMIC EXPERIENCE NOW AT GAYLORD TEXAN RESORT THROUGH SEPT 1

THE ROSE TABLE

Red and blue berries get all of the attention during the 4th of July, but who says you can’t serve chocolate cake on Independence Day? Red, white, and blue sprinkles pop against the white frosting on this luscious Chocolate 4th of July Cake. If you’ve never had my perfect chocolate cake before, you’re in for a treat! Delectable dark chocolate cake is incredibly moist and easy to make. The frosting isn’t too sweet and loved by all the picky eaters in my family. I use almond extract for a pure white look and fancy taste, but you can use vanilla frosting if you prefer. I also added some festive red, white and blue firework decorations on top. Cake sparkles would also be fun!

ROSEBUD STEAKHOUSE

Rosebud Steakhouse, the iconic Chicago-based fine dining restaurant, has officially made its Texas debut with the opening of its newest location in Southlake. Nestled in the District 114 development—easily spotted off Kimball exit on 114—the restaurant opened its doors in late April. If you haven’t explored this upand-coming corner of Southlake yet, it’s hard to miss thanks to its striking centerpiece—the giant silver dragon sculpture affectionately named Fury.

Founded in 2000 by restaurateurs Angelo Eliades and Steve Coppolillo, Rosebud Steakhouse is renowned for premium USDA Prime steaks sourced by Meats by Linz, a familyowned supplier lauded for its expert butchering and aging methods. The Southlake location is fourth in the growing Rosebud portfolio under the Creative Hospitality Concepts (CHC) Restaurant Group, joining the ranks of sister establishments in Chicago, Wheeling, Illinois, and Munster, Indiana. Inside, the Southlake space delivers elegance with a modern twist. The dining room seats 200 and features sleek finishes, warm lighting, and upscale comfort. At the time of my visit, a 100-seat covered patio was still under construction. Once complete, the all-weather patio will include heating, cooling, and a retractable enclosure—perfect for adapting to the famously fickle Texas weather. For more private affairs, Rosebud Steakhouse also offers a dedicated event space that can easily accommodate up to 50 guests.

The menu stays true to Rosebud’s roots with a lineup of impressive 40-day dry-aged steaks. Highlights include the Chicago Cut Bone-In Ribeye, Bone-In Filet Mignon, Cowboy Cut Ribeye, and Kansas City Strip. But it’s not all about the beef— the classic Italian fare like Rigatoni

Vodka and Chicken Parmesan round out the offerings, making it a destination for more than just steak lovers. The beverage program is equally notable, featuring a wine list with 30+ selections by the glass, and a well-curated mix of bourbons, whiskeys, and tequilas. While the signature cocktail list was still in progress during my visit, the bartender expertly crafted a silky-sweet Carajillo on request—an after-dinner favorite made with Licor 43 and rich coffee.

Of course, I can’t leave out a few of my personal recommendations. To start, don’t miss the chilled Shrimp Cocktail—it arrives with plump, fresh shrimp and a zingy “atomic” cocktail sauce that lives up to its name. The Burrata Salad was a creamy delight, and my husband raved about the crisp, bacon-topped Prime Wedge. While steak is often the star, I opted for the Broiled Sea Bass—and I’m glad I did. Perfectly crisp on top, tender and flaky underneath, it was expertly prepared, lightly seasoned to let freshness shine. For dessert—order Cheesecake. Chicago-imported, it’s perfectly rich and smooth.
