The SEB President’s Medals are awarded annually to young scientists of outstanding merit. There are three medals awarded, one each for animal, plant and cell biology.

The three categories for the Young Scientist Awards (YSAS) which are awarded at the conference (Animal, plant and cell).

The President’s Medals are the most prestigious award at the SEB and are highly regarded in the scientific community. Recipients receive their medal at the Awards Dinner that will take place on Thursday 4th July 2024 with attendance of 400 guests.

We provide an on-site childcare provision to support parents in their attendance and allow them to frequently check in on their children and assist with breastfeeding.

Since 2021, we have partnered with Nipperbout to “facilitate inclusivity and safety for families”.

The SEB Conference childcare provision is open for all conference parents for a heavily discounted fee per child per period.

The provision is for children aged 0 to 16 years old and can accommodate up to a maximum of 15 children at any one time.
