When you first meet Jamie Vai, owner of Vai Services, you’re struck by a few things: his energy, his pride in his work, and most of all his unwavering belief in doing things the right way For Jamie, HVAC isn’t just a job It’s the family business, the dream, and now a thriving local success story rooted in the heart of Delaware
From Vision to Reality
“I was forced into it,” Jamie admits with a laugh. “But I always dreamed of owning my own HVAC company ” That dream traces back to the tender age of 9, when Jamie first began learning the trade from his father and grandfather both skilled technicians in their own right “I come from a long line of tradesmen My grandfather, an Italian-American from New Jersey, owned an oil service and maintenance company. He trained my dad and uncle. Then, they trained me.”
Despite spending more than 35 years in the industry, Jamie watched as companies he worked for benefited from his know-how and work ethic without sharing his vision. “I was letting other companies use my cape,” he says. “Now, I’m keeping that cape for my own dream.”
That dream became Vai Services, a name that not only reflects Jamie’s heritage “Vai” means “Go” in Italian but also his relentless drive to move forward
