Child Welfare Training and Advancement Program (CWTAP)
CWTAP provides tuition assistance and specialized academic and practicum education in child welfare. This training helps prepare students to practice in culturally competent ways that create positive outcomes for children and families.
Agency of employment
Students currently working at social service organizations may be able to use their paid work as their senior year practicum.
BASW Honors
Students may elect to engage in the departmental honors program — students complete a year-long research project, attend a tailored seminar, and are supported by a faculty mentor. This experience can lay the groundwork for future graduate study and research.
MSW ADVANCED STANDING PROGRAM
Earn a Master of Social Work degree in just 10 months! BASW graduates are eligible to apply for an accelerated MSW program at the UW and other accredited programs across the nation.
