In this release, the foundation for an additional version qmsWrapper has been laid. To our existing ISO 13485 customers: you will not see any fundamental differences. Great care was been taken to make your work continue seamlessly and keep relying more on processes to support your regulatory endeavors. The changes needed for ISO 9001 do not affect you, you still obtaining benefits from a well-known system.

The two versions are different, not so much in the core but in the details and the way they handle the different ISO’s requirements. It’s important to select the version you need that fits your business purpose. One of the greatest changes, however, has nothing to do with ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 or any feature of the software.

We changed the license terms Companies that operate and run Software as a Service from the cloud, always include in their licenses their right to terminate the service at any time, for whatever reasons.

We have been no exception, until now.

Although some disruptions can be out of our control, a total shut down is not.

So we’ve taken the unprecedented step of protecting you, our customers, with an innovative new approach to the license terms – we’ve added a “Hail Mary” clause.

The clause “Hail Mary” essentially says that if in the event we are unable to continue in business, i.e. a permanent service disruption; we will give you an option to subscribe to a two-year license of the software that can run as a local copy. Additionally, there will be a 30 days transition period where you will be able to repatriate your data.

This is in addition to your current ability to locally backup your data.

We’re not saying this will be without any pain, but it will be a reassuring pain knowing your QMS system will be safe for at least two years plus whatever time was left in your subscription – from today or any day. On the day you commit to your subscription, you get an option in an additional 2 years beyond that. It will be up to you to decide to take that option or not.

Committing to qmsWrapper should not be a gamble with your QMS system.
