City of McAllen Hosts TML-Region 12 Annual Training Conference

To help bring training to the region at an affordable rate, the City of McAllen has hosted a conference each May for the Region 12 Texas Municipal League (TML), an organization whose purpose is to advance and sustain the interests of the cities of Texas.

Held at South Padre Island, conference topics included leadership, emergency management, mental health awareness, public finance, transportation, ethics, and legislative updates benefiting elected officials and city administrators, directors, staff, and employees. Almost 340 attended this year’s conference, which serves as an important resource to smaller communities in Region 12, making contacts, hearing best practices, and gaining valuable insight and information to take back to their communities.
