As the heat of summer begins to mellow (a little), I can’t help but anticipate the excitement that fall brings. There’s back-to-school and the gala season, and it’s only two months until my favorite holiday, Halloween. But before we rush into pumpkin spice and cozy sweaters, let’s savor these last weeks of summer.

I’m very excited to welcome Driscoll Children’s Hospital to the RGV and our growing SOCIALIFE family! Their dedication to the community aligns perfectly with our mission of celebrating the vibrant and dynamic spirit of the RGV.

Speaking of celebrating, we could hear the cheers from Denver when the City of Edinburg received their fourth All-America City award. Read about how Edinburg is for Everyone in this month’s SOCIALIFE cover story.

This brings me to backto-school. For some, it’s new school supplies; for others, it’s a move to a new school. Congratulations to UTRGV as they officially open the doors to two more specialty high schools: the UTRGV McAllen ISD Collegiate Academy and the UTRGV Edinburg CISD Collegiate High School.

So whether you’re lounging by the pool reading SOCIALIFE or thinking about a weekend getaway to South Padre Island to unwind by the shore, make the most of this sun-kissed season.

Here’s to embracing every moment and looking forward to the incredible adventures that lie ahead this fall.
