CENTRAL COAST HEALTH CARE TRAINING PROGRAMS

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The Central Coast Health Care Workforce Collaborative (CCHWC) is a regional approach to workforce development, representing hospital and academic leaders. Health care is one of the fastest growing industries across the region and the need for workers is growing. Ensuring a robust talent pipeline for these occupations is crucial. To that end, the CCHWC, with support from the Hospital Association of Southern California, has produced the Central Coast Healthcare Training Programs. This new resource lists of health care training programs offered at two- and four-year public and private academic institutions and adult schools. We hope you will find this resource helpful in creating a pipeline of trained workers, establishing new partnerships and strengthening existing ones, and improving alignment of education with industry needs to ensure a sufficient supply of well-trained health care professionals at all levels. This inventory also includes local workforce development board contacts that can assist employers with recruitment, job fairs, job training programs, on-the-job training subsidies and more. Please take advantage of this valuable resource. Lastly, if you are interested in promoting open positions to graduates or externship opportunities to students, or for any questions about this resource or the CCHWC, please email Soyinka Allen, sallen@hasc.org. Thank you for your ongoing support!
