Upon arrival in Lourmarin, we were excited to be in that house we only knew from pictures. The charming clay-coloured walls, and the stunning shutters ... We immediately started making plans for the following weeks. We were not going to waste a single opportunity to look for new adventures and sensations! ...

After settling in, we paid a visit to the organic garden, which became kind of our “baby”. Every day, we took care of our “happy vegetables” - tomatoes, peas, radishes, and many others, which we learned to really savour. We picked the fruit and flowers and went to show them off in the street markets, to teach children the value of exchanging and sharing. We saw the hives, where we saw the honeycombs and how the honey was extracted. As the days went by, we watched our children become friends too, between fun treasure hunts on their bikes and tricycles, and traditional games. Every day, we went to the village to try out the craft workshops: basketwork, where we exercised our motor skills while learning how to weave; soap, a way to awaken the senses to the different aromas; household linen, which we dyed with tea, plants, flowers, fruit, and vegetable peels, to discover the wonders tying fabrics with cords!... On our way back, our hands and heads were ready to create. The summer holidays in Provence gave rise to pieces with an adaptable and practical design, and comfortable flowy fits, perfect to be used for hours on end!... We searched for natural, irregular, and wrinkled textures, which we explored in 100% natural, organic, and recycled fabrics and cotton yarns. We went for a palette of nostalgic tones, sandy and faded, and cotton inspired by macramé and crochet.

Dear friends, Thank you for everything. Our hearts have been full all summer! Will we miss it? Sure we will! But, like the film ... “We will always have Lourmarin!” À bientôt!
