RHINEGOLD LONG LEATHER RIDING BOOTS
Both the Luxus and De-Luxe Long Leather Riding Boots are made in a soft feel leather giving the upmost comfort to the wearer with no wearing in required.
They feature an elasticated front lace detail and traditional stitch detail on the toe cap.
A close leg fit is achieved due to contoured leather engineering and two pleated, elasticated leather sections at the back of the boot to ensure a comfortable fit and freedom of movement.
A user friendly wide smooth feel zip pull and dirt protection guard are new features implemented to increase the lifespan of the zip.
When fitted correctly these boots will feel as though they have been custom made but with the ease of off the shelf purchasing.
Designed to be inclusive for every rider, these boots are available in a wide range of calf fittings as well as height variations. Rhinegold Equestrian know that one size does not fit all and sometimes a little less height or a little more width makes all the difference.
NOTE:
Due to the pre-oiled nature of this leather these boots will not need oiling and doing so will invalidate any manufacturers guarantee. Please use cleaners and conditioners designed specifically for oiled leather shoes and boots.

How to measure
Please refer to the size charts below.
We would recommend to measure over light clothing using a soft tape measure in centimetres (cm).
Chest:
Under the arms and around the widest part.
Waist:
Above your hips, close to your lower ribs.
Over the shoulder:
Start from the front waist above your hip, over the shoulder to the same waist point on your back.
Back length:
This is the measurement of the body protector.
When seated in the saddle, measure from the nape of your neck to just above the point of the saddle. We would recommend a good hands width away from the saddle. This will confirm the back length is suitable and will not interfere with the saddle when riding.

Considered appropriate for general riding, competitions including eventing and working with horses.
Level 3 body protectors should prevent minor bruising that would have produced stiffness and pain, reduce soft tissue injuries and prevent a limited number of rib fractures.

How to measure:
Measure your horse from the centre of their chest to the furthest point of their hind quarters (nearly to the tail), especially for outdoor rugs. We recommend using a soft tape measure for this. Please refer to the horizontal line on the image below.
Length of Rug
RUG WEIGHT GUIDE
Rugs are defined by their weight, i.e the grammes2 (gsm) of polyfill used. The higher the gsm means there is more insulation squeezed into each square metre, which keeps your horse warmer.
The denier of the outer fabric is also significant. Essentially the higher the denier number, the thicker the weave, the stronger the fabric. This will generally be much more durable and potentially have a longer life.

Travel Boot Information
These boots have been designed and developed to be used when travelling a horse.
Travel boots are much taller by design as they offer full protection from the hock all the way down to the fetlock. Some styles may include PVC strike pads to also protect the hooves from impact. Travelling a horse is a high-risk activity so these boots offer the highest level of protection.
They protect the legs from strikes, impacts, and trauma that can occur when on the lorry or trailer.
Travel boots are restricting in movement as they compress the legs to reduce any swelling that can occur when a horse stands still for prolonged periods of time. Typically travel boots are a wraparound style which secure with touch tape fastenings at the front for easy use.
As with all boots, it is important to make sure your horse is happy wearing them before travelling. Many horses will need to be exposed gradually to travel boots before they are ready to go out.

Fenceline distances given for each unit indicate the range that it could be expected to power subject to conditions e.g. heavy vegetation / poor insulation = min. figure given or good conditions and good insulation = max. figure given. We recommend selecting an energiser that can power up to approximately twice the length of your fence or combined fencelines.
