All of the long and short riding boots showcased within this catalogue have been lovingly designed to be inclusive to all riders whilst still maintaining a high level of quality.

All designs are exclusive to Rhinegold Equestrian.

How to measure:

Measure from the bottom of your heel to the back of your knee. Measuring yourself correctly when buying a pair of long riding boots will help to ensure you’re comfortable, secure and safe in the saddle. Match your calf and height measurements to the size guides supplied.

This size chart applies to the Luxus Long Leather Riding Boot and De-Luxe Long Leather Riding Boot for the various calf fittings and height options.

RHINEGOLD LONG LEATHER RIDING BOOTS

Both the Luxus and De-Luxe Long Leather Riding Boots are made in a soft feel leather giving the upmost comfort to the wearer with no wearing in required.

They feature an elasticated front lace detail and traditional stitch detail on the toe cap.

A close leg fit is achieved due to contoured leather engineering and two pleated, elasticated leather sections at the back of the boot to ensure a comfortable fit and freedom of movement.

A user friendly wide smooth feel zip pull and dirt protection guard are new features implemented to increase the lifespan of the zip.

When fitted correctly these boots will feel as though they have been custom made but with the ease of off the shelf purchasing.

Designed to be inclusive for every rider, these boots are available in a wide range of calf fittings as well as height variations. Rhinegold Equestrian know that one size does not fit all and sometimes a little less height or a little more width makes all the difference.

NOTE

Due to the pre-oiled nature of this leather these boots will not need oiling and doing so will invalidate any manufacturers guarantee. Please use cleaners and conditioners designed specifically for oiled leather shoes and boots.

PAS 015 is the British riding hat standard and requires a kitemark.

All Rhinegold Equestrian riding helmets are tested thoroughly for all areas of protection, such as flat impact, hazard edge impact, crush resistance and protection against injury when landing on an edged surface.

It is not recommended to purchase or borrow a second-hand riding hat with an unknown history.

PAS 015 is the British riding hat standard and requires a kitemark. All Rhinegold Equestrian riding helmets are tested thoroughly for all areas of protection, such as flat impact, hazard edge impact, crush resistance and protection against injury when landing on an edged surface.

The standards accepted by each governing body are as follows:

British Eventing, Pony Club, British Riding Clubs and British Team Chasing - British and European: PAS 015 (2011), VG01.040 2014-12 or BS EN1384:2023, all with BSI Kitemark or Inspec IC Mark

How to measure

Please refer to the size charts below.

We would recommend to measure over light clothing using a soft tape measure in centimetres (cm).

Chest:

Under the arms and around the widest part.

Waist:

Above your hips, close to your lower ribs.

Over the shoulder:

Start from the front waist above your hip, over the shoulder to the same waist point on your back.

Back length:

This is the measurement of the body protector.

When seated in the saddle, measure from the nape of your neck to just above the point of the saddle. We would recommend a good hands width away from the saddle.

This will confirm the back length is suitable and will not interfere with the saddle when riding.

BETA 2018

Level 3 -

Considered appropriate for general riding, competitions including eventing and working with horses.

Level 3 body protectors should prevent minor bruising that would have produced stiffness and pain, reduce soft tissue injuries and prevent a limited number of rib fractures.

WHY USE A BODY PROTECTOR?

A body protector is designed to absorb the impact created when falling off, being kicked or stood on by a horse.

Riders are more protected when wearing one in everyday situations aswell as in competitions

Measure your horse from the centre of their chest to the furthest point of their hind quarters (nearly to the tail), especially for outdoor rugs. We recommend using a soft tape measure for this.

RUG WEIGHT GUIDE

Rugs are defined by their weight, i.e the grammes2 (gsm) of polyfill used.

The higher the gsm means there is more insulation squeezed into each square metre, which keeps your horse warmer.

The denier of the outer fabric is also significant. Essentially the higher the denier number, the thicker the weave, the stronger the fabric. This will generally be much more durable and potentially have a longer life.

Travel Boot Information

These boots have been designed and developed to be used when travelling a horse.

Travel boots are much taller by design as they offer full protection from the hock all the way down to the fetlock. Some styles may include PVC strike pads to also protect the hooves from impact. Travelling a horse is a high-risk activity so these boots offer the highest level of protection.

They protect the legs from strikes, impacts, and trauma that can occur when on the lorry or trailer.

Travel boots are restricting in movement as they compress the legs to reduce any swelling that can occur when a horse stands still for prolonged periods of time. Typically travel boots are a wraparound style which secure with touch tape fastenings at the front for easy use.

As with all boots, it is important to make sure your horse is happy wearing them before travelling. Many horses will need to be exposed gradually to travel boots before they are ready to go out.
