Welcome to Lakeland, FL and thank you for joining us at the 51st annual SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo, as we “Turn Up the FUN at 51”! Coming off the heels of our memorable 50th celebration, the team here at SUN ‘n FUN has spent the last year turning the dial to create the “FUNNEST” SUN ‘n FUN experience yet! Each day is jam-packed with airplanes, programming, and experiences that will leave your feet tired and your aviation heart full.
Our six-day event provides the opportunity to see thousands of airplanes and visit with over 500 exhibitors from around the world to share the latest in aviation products and technology. Over 400 forums and workshops are scheduled throughout the week to assist in improving your aviation knowledge and craftsmanship. Youth activities are available through our Junior ACE’s programming at the Future ‘n Flight Plaza, Florida Air Museum, and Skylab Innovation Center to inspire the next generation. Our daily airshows are stacked with world-renowned air show performers, aircraft, military demos and the return of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels!
Our evening programming keeps the excitement going with fun flying at the Sunset Aerial Circus located in Paradise City on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings and our World-Class Night Airshows are back on Wednesday and Saturday evenings…our night airshows are a marvel to behold!! We also welcome the return of our Opening Night concert as Tyler Hubbard and Uncle Kracker turn up the fun on our SUN ‘n FUN stage located on the Warbird Ramp. Also, don’t miss our evening programming at The Island and The Hangar!
There is something for everyone at SUN ‘n FUN! We are grateful for your contribution to the success of the event each year, as the net proceeds from SUN ‘n FUN are invested directly into our yearround youth aerospace and STEM programming through the Aerospace Center for Excellence (ACE). Our mission at ACE is to ENGAGE, EDUCATE, and ACCELERATE the next generation of aerospace professionals and your participation helps us achieve that mission by contributing to the engagement of over 20,000 kids each year.
Our collective success has afforded the opportunity to vision a new footprint here at Lakeland Linder International Airport. Over the last year, we have worked tirelessly with our stakeholders and partners to develop plans that will drive our growth and success over the next 20 years. Near term, we are planning to enclose our outdoor pavilion to create a year-round event space which will allow us to upgrade and create new interactive exhibits in the Florida Air Museum. We are also proud to present to our partners and guests our reimagined site plan here at Lakeland Linder International Airport, as we embrace the tremendous growth and success of our airport. (See pages 6 and 7 of the In-Flight Guide)
I encourage each one of you to stop and shake hands with or hug one of our over 3,000 volunteers. Our organization would not exist without their passion, dedication, and love and we thank them for 51 awesome fly-ins!
On behalf of the Aerospace Center for Excellence and SUN ’n FUN Boards, our incredible sponsors, my team, and more than 3,000 volunteers, we sincerely hope you enjoy your experience. We look forward to welcoming you back next year for our 52nd annual SUN ’n FUN Aerospace Expo, April 14-19, 2026, as we celebrate the 250th Birthday of the United States. See you next year!
LET'S GO!
GENE CONRAD SUN ‘n FUN President & CEO
Joel Barker’s famous quote about the need to plan AND act is a staple of strategic planning firms, sound business leaders, and common folks that just want to get stuff done. Over the last three years, the Aerospace Center for Excellence and the SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo doubled down on addressing the need for and expectation of our visitors to provide an awesome customer experience that lasted beyond just the six day footprint of the Expo – something meaningful that extended throughout the whole calendar year and really made a difference in the lives of our local and extended aerospace communities. As the next outworking of that effort, we are delighted to unveil exciting plans to dramatically improve our Aerospace Pavilion, truly making it a year-round event destination space, and our Florida Air Museum, where we live our motto that “Aviation is for Everyone” by introducing a completely reimagined guest experience.
The magic of the SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo is that it reminds us every year that “The Sky is Just the Beginning.” What is happening on our campus and what will happen here with the creation of these purposeful spaces to ensure a bright and amazing future for the next generation of aerospace professionals.

AIRCRAFT AREAS
A casual visitor to SUN ‘n FUN might think they’re seeing a few thousand airplanes, all in one amazing place, and they would be right. However, there is actually a method to the Expo madness. Visitors touring the grounds of SUN ‘n FUN will discover that there are several aircraft areas. Here is our summary description of each.
WARBIRDS
Former military aircraft, restored to airworthy condition for public display on the ground and in the air, are flying history lessons that honor the heroes that flew them. Many think of WWII, and with good reason, as you will see everything from trainers to fighters to four-engine bombers. But this community also represents types that flew in The Great War all the way to Vietnam, including helicopters, transports and jets.
Vintage
Hold on, now. In the world of airplanes, “vintage” means anything built and flown in 1970 or older. If it makes you feel better, call them classics. Most of these are civil and general aviation types that are painstakingly preserved or even fully restored. You’ll recognize names like Beech, Waco, Cessna, Lockheed, Piper and many more with truly historic, vintage pedigrees.

Seabirds
There’s something romantic about any airplane with pontoons on it. Who wouldn’t want the freedom of landing on a pristine lake or a tropical lagoon instead of an airport runway? Large or small, single or multi-engine, check out the gaggle of what we call “seabirds” on display in this special section of floatable SUN ‘n FUN participants.
HOMEBUILT
These unique aircraft represent not only their owner’s passion for flying but their ingenuity, resourcefulness, craftsmanship and, in most cases, their perseverance. Many owners have been built from commercially available kits or designs, and some are one-of-a-kind concepts, come to life. Many aircraft, in fact, began as someone’s basement workshop project. See them up close here at SUN ‘n FUN – you just might be inspired!

Paradise City
In 2004, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) created the Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) category of small, lightweight aircraft that are simple to fly. Along with Ultralights, these types of aircraft offer an affordable way for many to begin their piloting journey with a Sport Pilot License. Here you can see up-close the broad and colorful variety of Ultralights and LSA’s, from gliders to powered parachutes to rotorcraft such as gyroscopes, and more.
Aerobatic
We’ve come a long way since the barnstorming 1920’s, when a pilot in a surplus WWI Jenny biplane would sell rides, flying from a farmers field after doing aerial stunts over a town of awestruck citizens. Aerobatics today are still performed both for fun and for admiring airshow crowds, but also by highly skilled pilots in international competition judged by discerning experts. Come see aerobatic-capable civil aircraft alongside more highly specialized types with names like Pitts, Sukhoi, Extra and Edge.
