Sisters of Notre Dame in Health Care Throughout the USA, more than 40 Sisters of Notre Dame from four provinces minister every day to improve the health of their communities. Sisters of Notre Dame serve in many facets of health care including: Nursing Pharmacy Hospice Home Health Care Nutrition Mental Health Services Chaplaincy Hospital Administration
Outside of the United States, health care is a growing facet of the international congregation’s ministry. This is especially true in India where the SNDs congregation has four sister doctors, and 26 sister nurses. The clinics where these women serve see up to 400 patients each day. Here in California, we have four sisters dedicated to health care: two serving as nurses and two as chaplains. In this newsletter, we will be taking a closer look at the work of these extraordinary women, and the lives they touch through their ministries.
