Award Winner Amberlee Brill Donates Painting to Wayne High School
Amberlee Brill and her painting of the badger that she is donating to Wayne High School. BICKNELL - The Badger is the school mascot for Wayne High and last week young artist Amberlee Brill presented her painting of the Badger to the school where it will hang in the foyer. Painting for Amberlee is a passion and she was this years award winner for the Utah All State High School Art Show in Springville. This June seventeen year old Amberlee, the daughter of Brian and Kalynn Brill of Bicknell, Utah
will travel with her mother to Washington DC to be recognized at the Congressional District Award Ceremony. Her award painting, “Tiger in Snow” will then hang for a year in Washinton, DC Federal Building. Amberlee comes by her talent naturally as both her parents are artists themselves, her mother in art, her father in music. No stranger to receiving awards for her art, Amberlee has been given the
blue ribbon for her work at the Wayne County Fair for each of the past four years. Her favorite subjects are wildlife. Amberlee says “Living in beautiful Wayne County inspires my work.” An excellent student, as well as an artist, Amberlee is looking forward to pursuing her art career, and from her accomplishments it looks very promising. —Sandy Dietlein
