Garfield County proposes road name change in honor of the president by Ian Marynowski

Jan. 6, 2025 WAYNE CO. - Newly elected officials took the oath of office for the 2025 new year at the January 6th Wayne County Commission meeting. This included Sharon Torgerson as Wayne County Assessor, Colleen Allen as Wayne County Treasurer/Recorder and Roger Brian as Wayne County Commissioner. The commission also approved Dennis Blackburn as the new commission chair. The commission approved a letter of support for Lyman Town's application for a grant to build a bike pump track in town through the Utah Outdoor Recreation Division. Brock Jackson explained that it will be a prefabricated or “plug and play track” made of a hard plastic or metal.
