For 2025 and 2026, Snap-on have teamed up with Prostate Cancer UK, an initiative designed to raise awareness and vital funds for a disease that affects one in eight men in the UK.
Why This Partnership Matters
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. Unlike other forms of cancer, prostate cancer can be asymptomatic in its early stages, making early detection through regular check-ups and awareness all the more critical.
Snap-on recognises that we have a platform to make a difference, particularly within our industry, where conversations about health can often take a backseat to the day-to-day demands of the jobs at hand.
Through this collaboration, Snap-on and Prostate Cancer UK will be launching fundraising initiatives and special promotions to encourage both technicians and the wider public to support this cause.
Breaking the Silence on Men’s Health
One of the biggest challenges in tackling prostate cancer is the silence that surrounds men’s health issues. In male-dominated industries such as the automotive industry, there is often an unspoken rule to “just get on with it.” Conversations about personal health - especially something as personal as prostate cancer - are not always easy to have.
How You Can Help
However, this needs to change. Talking about prostate cancer could save lives, and with early detection being significant in improving survival rates, the first step to early detection is awareness. If we can create an environment where men feel comfortable discussing their health - whether that’s in the workshop, on the job, or at home - we can help break down the barriers that prevent so many from seeking help.
The Risk Checker
One of the simplest and most effective ways to check your risk is through using the Prostate Cancer UK Risk Checker. It will ask you just 3 simple questions; your age, if you have any family history of Prostate Cancer, and your Ethnicity.
These 3 questions are simple but effective; in just 30 seconds, your risk levels can be diagnosed.
Since early detection is crucial with Prostate Cancer, the Risk Checker helps to allow males to take control of their own health, providing personalised guidance on whether a conversation with a GP is required.

Snap-on and Prostate Cancer UK are calling on everyone to get involved. Here’s how you can make a difference:
• Donate: Every contribution, big or small, helps fund vital research and support services for men affected by prostate cancer.
• Spread Awareness: Talk to your colleagues, friends, and family about prostate cancer. Encourage them to learn the risks and get checked.
Prostate Cancer affects thousands of men every year, and together, we can fight it. Let’s start the conversation, break the silence, and take action.
