As vehicles get more complex they have more ECUs. If you’re working on a car with 60 or more systems then finding all the related systems in a big, long list, can be hard. But not in a Snap-on® scanner, where related systems are grouped together. For example, if you are working on a vehicle that has an ADAS fault and the car is equipped with these ADAS features; Active Cruise Control/Range Radar, All Around Camera, Park Distance Control… finding all those systems in a long list is time consuming and there is always the chance of missing one. Plus, the OEMs are not consistent in naming conventions for ECUs, which can make it even more difficult.

Snap-on® scan tools provide groupings, and the heading defines the system that the ECU belongs to, so that you can then quickly navigate to the system and then the ECUs.
