GREETING & WELCOME

PRELUDE

*CALL TO WORSHIP

Let All Things Now Living– L. Larson (b.1954)

One: We gather to hear the words of Jesus a story of two lives, two destinies, and one truth.

All: We come to listen, to learn, and to be changed.

One: The rich man lived in comfort; Lazarus suffered at his gate. But in God’s kingdom, the last are lifted up.

Sandy Tucker

All: We come to remember what truly matters: mercy, humility, and faith.

All: Let us worship the God who sees the unseen and calls us to live with eternal perspective.

*GATHERING HYMN Page 4 Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty

*GATHERING PRAYER

God of stories that unsettle and awaken, You call us to gather—not in comfort, but in truth. We come, drawn by Your Word, where a man lies at the gate, and another blindly feasts.

Open our eyes, O Christ, to the lives we pass by, to the grace we overlook, to the urgency of Your call.

In this time of worship, may we hear not only the parable, but Your voice within it Through the voices of the poor and silenced inviting us to live with mercy, to walk with humility, and to trust in the justice of Your kingdom. Amen.

Reverend Phil Amerson

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
