SIMPLE STEPS TO APPLY FOR AID

Grants & Scholarships are awarded by NSC, the state and federal government, or private donors. They can be based on merit or financial need and normally don’t have to be repaid.

Complete the FAFSA at fafsa.gov beginning Oct. 1. The NSC grant priority deadline is Jan. 15.

Work-Study lets you earn money toward your expenses while a student by working at a part-time job, either on-campus or in community service.

Submit the NSC Foundation scholarship application between Dec. 15 and Apr. 15 at nsc.edu/finaid.

Loans are funds provided by the federal government or a private lender, which must be repaid with interest.

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS FOR FIRST-TIME STUDENTS Our renewable scholarships are available for recent high school graduates (four-year renewable) and college transfer students (twoyear renewable). To be eligible for Scorpion Academic Scholarships, students must:

Be a 2017 high school graduate or a transfer student with an accepted transferable degree.

Enroll in 12 or more financial aid eligible credits each semester.

Be a first-time student for the Fall 2017 semester.
