SMSU Theatre Blending a unique combination of improvisational comedy, education and audience participation, "sex signals" provides a provocative, in-yourface look at issues surrounding dating, sex and date rape on college campuses. Through the use of humor, the show explores how mixed messages, gender role stereotypes and unrealistic fantasies contribute to misunderstandings between the sexes. students are engaged in a candid discussion on dating and the realities of date rape as they are challenged to provide solutions that will better improve communications in interpersonal relationships.

When does my Fall Semester bill have to be paid? a: students must either have their bill paid in full by august 1, 2011, or must have met the minimum payment criteria to avoid cancellation of course registration. Minimum payment criteria can be viewed at www.sMsu.edu/PaymentPolicy .

PARKING PERMIT information students may purchase parking permits at Commons Central during Move in Day between the hours of 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Permits are also available at the Cashier’s office located in the iL building during scheduled office hours.

If I have been awarded work-study, how do I go about finding a job on campus? a: The Financial aid office has a listing of campus departments and contact numbers. Campus job openings will be posted outside the Fa office and on our sMsu website under student employment. it is up to you to contact the departments or areas in which you are interested and ask if they have any jobs available. You will fill out applications and go in for interviews.

Parking permits are available for the 2011 - 2012 academic year:

Do I get a pay check for the work-study hours I work? a: Yes. You will receive a paycheck every two weeks for the number of hours you put in. Most students work an average of 8-10 hours per week and get paid $8.00 per hour. You may pick up your work-study checks at the Cashier’s office or use direct deposit.

(Allows you to park in any designated space, except reserved spaces.)

As a student, when can I pick up my Stafford Loan Check? a: stafford Loan funds will first be applied to charges for the semester. any funds remaining will be available on september 2 at the Cashier’s office. Direct deposit will be available and students are encouraged to fill out the direct deposit form.

When should I buy my books and how much will they cost? a: The Campus store will be open during fall orientation for new students to purchase their books. students may purchase new or used books from the bookstore, and they will generally cost $500/semester.

Can I change my meal plan if it is not right for me? a: Yes. Meal plan changes for Fall semester may be made through Friday, september 2, 2011. Meal plan changes for spring semester can be made the last two weeks of Fall semester through the first two weeks of spring Classes. These requests need to be submitted in writing at the housing office located in student Center 225.

When do meal plans start? a: Meal plans begin Thursday, august 18, for the evening meal. Meals from your dining plan can be used in the residential restaurant located in the student Center. The meal plan week starts on saturday and runs through Friday. Your meal plan will start over each week. Your meals do not carry over from week to week.

How do I use my Mustang Money? a: Mustang Money can be used just like Cash to purchase anything in the residential restaurant, the Food Court, Java City, Mustang express, concessions, and even student catering. The cashier will simply scan your student iD for the amount purchased. Mustang Money is an easy way to purchase items without carrying extra cash.

Do I have to leave the Residence Halls during breaks or can I stay in my room? a: The only time the residence halls close is at the end of Fall semester in December. The halls are closed for approximately one month while students are on semester break. interim housing is available for students at a minimal cost during this time.
